| Great insight into the food and history from the locale's perspective, our tour guide. Highly recommended tour!I 'm going to go for the other tours now :) |

The 'tour' was really just the Chelea Market...

| While we enjoyed our guides friendly comments and historical anecdotes, the content of the tour was rather superficial and only really showed what was in Chelea Market--something that seemed almost like an advertisement for the stores or a way to get out-of-towners to spend a bit there. This was not really a tour of Chelsea and the Meat Packing District's culinary offerings. If you want a small bit of history and some nice snacks, this three hour tour is o.k., otherwise, you'll do better with a Zagat and a few hours walking or a proper historical tour. |

| My husband and I enjoyed the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable. The food was delicious. We look forward to taking another food tour on our next NYC trip. |

| my first time in NYC and my wife scheduled this. it was well presenteted, very knowlegable tour guide (kurt) and an all around fun time. the only suggestion i would make would be to intergrade the eating/sightseeing portions of the tour. first half was all deli tour/eating, second half all tour of meat packing, unique houses and hotel views. overall, well worth the price of admission. my only complaint, the tour guide, a resident of new york city, couldn't tell me where on 11th avenue "manhatten motor cars" was. it's NYC's only bentley/lamborghini/rolls-royce dealership. when we got back to our hotel on park avenue, a quick check of the phone directory indicated we were only two blocks south and four blocks east of the dealership from where our tour started.

| What a fun informative tour. We ate our way through the Chelsea market, then stepped out into the Meat Packing District. Darrell had all sorts of history and fun tid bits on the tour. I very highly reccomend this tour. |

| We had so much fun and learned so much on this tour!! Our tour guide, Cindy, was entertaining and very knowledgable. We loved every bit of food that we tasted and ended up spending the entire day and night in this really fun area. Considering we had very diverse ages and interests in our group (ages 70 to 38, foodies to folks who eat anything) we all found this to be one of our best experiences in New York. My cousin loved the tasting of Ronneybrook farm milk . . . she said it was so good it almost made her cry!
We took Cindy's recommendation and ate at Macelleria, which was superb. I wish we would have gone back the next night and eaten at Spice Market!! Oh well, next time. |

| I enjoyed the tour and all of the food tastings. I thought the tour was managed very well. The tour guide clearly added to our enjoyment of the tour. I would recommend it to others I know travelling to NY. |

| This was the best thing we did the entire time we were in New York. I only wish we had done it earlier in the week so that we would've known of the great food in this area. Our tour guide was great. He was very entertaining and knowledgable. We were expecting small tastings, but were full when we left. When we return to New York we will definately book a tour similar to this again. My 13 year old daughter even said this was her favorite part of the trip. Thanks for a great experience. |

| Of the 3-hour tour, the first 2 hours are spent indoors within the Chelsea Market. With so much time indoors, this walk may be best suited to days when the weather is not so great. Also, the distance covered is not huge.
Overall we found the tour to be very informative and enjoyable. Our guide, Bob, was very approachable and provided informative and entertaining background info covering both the food we were sampling and the surrounding environs.
On the Meatpacking section of the tour we found out about some top-quality restaurants which were unknown to our hotel concierge. So if you're doing this walk during a short visit to New York, schedule it in early so that you give yourself a chance to go back and eat at some of the places visited.
My group weren't sure about whether we could/should have breakfast before the tour, and whether we should plan lunch afterwards. I'd say you could do both. Food samples are provided only within the Chelsea Market section, and are really only intended as tasters. It's not going to fill you up.
