| Having visited New York before, this time we were looking for something a little different and slightly off the beaten track. Well, we certainly found it with this tour. Chelsea Market was a revelation - so many interesting places to eat under one roof, and the Meatpacking District showed us an area we would never have stumbled upon on our own.
Our guide was excellent - enthusiastic, entertaining and informative and with access to hotels, B&B's and restaurants we would not have otherwise seen. These seemed so good that we returned to the area the following evening to eat in a steak house and have cocktails on a hotel rooftop bar!
The tour really was excellent and we can not recommend it highly enough |

| Last time in NYC, we did the Greenwich Tour and absolutely loved it. So, this time we opted for the Chelsea Tour, and it did not disappoint. The food samples could easily have been smaller; we both got very full!
Our guide, Curt, was fabulous and made it fun, interesting, and informative. He was very knowledgable and offered juicy tidbits of NYC living.
This is not just a food tour. I mean, you get to sample fun foods and learn about restaurants and food vendors, but it's also great to learn about the NYC neighborhoods and their history, something you really can't get from history books.
I would highly recommend anyone to join in one of these tours as early on in their NYC visit as possible. This way you learn about places to go to dinner for the rest of your stay!
Only regret is that the Soho tour wasn't running this time around, but we'll do it next time! |

| My husband and I just got back from NY and did the Chelsea Market Food Tour. It was excellent and more than we expected. The guide - Darrell - was wonderful and the amount of food was more than we could eat. We are anxiously awaiting our next trip so we can do the Greenwich Village tour. This is a definate TO DO tour. Also, this tour is mostly inside so don't let questionable weather effect your decision to do this activity. |

| We were fortunate to have only one other couple besides ourselves on this tour, which was perfect! After seeing a tour of 15 people herding thru, I have no idea how they didn't constantly feel "in the way" of the rest of the public, since the spaces/stores we dropped in on are all so compact. Not to mention, some of the tastings we did were in the very back of the store, sometimes, not enough chairs for the four of us!
The tour thru the market was informative, the tastings were fun, some better than others. The market tour part took about an hour. The remainder 2 hours were walking outside the streets of the meat packing district. Luckily it was nice out. I would imagine on rainy days, this 2/3 of the tour would be miserable. I feel this part of the tour could have been cut down to 30 minutes. We spent the last hour going into random restauraunts and shops just looking around...which I could do on my own. Luckily, we were in a small group and we were enjoying our guide, so we had a good time.
A recommendartion I would have is to cut the tour to 2 hours and cut the price by$15. |

| My wife and I took the tour while on a short trip to New York. We were unfamiliar with the Chelsea Market and it sounded like a fun way to experience it and the surrounding area. Instead of just sitting on a bus or listening to someone talk about it, you're completely involved in the tour. You get the opportunity to see, smell, touch and taste everything the market has to offer. And the food we sampled was amazing! Our guide, Curt, was enthusiastic, fun and very knowledgeable. I will (and have) recommended this tour to everyone I know that is visiting New York. |

| With only one full day to spend in NYC, I'm glad I spent the afternoon with Daryl. He was full of energy and unique information about the history of the meat packing district and the rise of Chelsea Market. The tastings were fabulous. Everything was delicous! And when you're done, the 9/11 memorial is just two short train stops away. |

| This was our second food tour with Zerve. This is a great way to sample so many of the great foods in Chelsea. A great bargain for what you get - and the tour guide was great! |
