Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

The tour of Chelsesa Market was certainly a highlight during my trip to New York. Kurt was a fantastic guide which kept our group entertained and a lot more knowledgable about the history of Chelsea Market and the surrounding Meat Packing Disctrict. I attended the tour with a friend who has been living in New York for the last six years and she thoroughly enjoyed herself as well - in fact, she just told me she's telling all her friends about it! This a wonderful way to spend a few hours in the city....ENJOY!

The tour offered a great sampling of the foods available inside the market and in the environs. Would have enjoyed more about the historical development and importance of the market but this in no way detracts from the enjoyability of the tour. We highly recommend this tour,

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The first two hours were spent in the Chelsea Market learning about a number of the vendors and about the person who started the market, and eating wonderful food. Diana was a marvelous tour guide. Her knowledge of the market, the building, and the area was presented with a sense of humor that made her tour more than just a recitation of facts. We enjoyed the Chelsea Market so much that we went back a couple of days later and bought food for a picnic lunch. I heartily recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys good food and learning about a very interesting neighborhood.

The tour was wonderful! I learned a lot about the Meatpacking district. I enjoyed all of the tastings and felt it was well balanced with information about the area.

Tour guide was energetic and animated. really enjoyed her work and was knowledgeable beyond the basic tour. Food samples were great. My wife liked the catfish sandwich at the end of the tour but it was a little exotic for my plain taste buds. Really liked seeing Del Posto and Morimoto's restaurants. Could you guys set up a sampling tour to some of the Iron Chef's restaurants? Any way to get a tour of the Kitchen areas above the Chelsea Market? Maybe have one of the Chef's give a talk? I travel to NY frequently and sometimes have to stay over the weekend due to the weather. This tour was a delight and great use of time! The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and had lots of historical additions as well as a few pictures. She knew all the owners of every place we went and they all appeared glad to see her. Until the tour, I didn't realize the connection the building had with the Food Network.

This is my 2nd time on the tour and it was fantastic. Darryl made sure it wasn't a complete repeat for me. The tastings were more then sufficient. I love the Food of NY tours....one night we ate at Monte's which we visited on another Food of NY tour and we were totally happy with it!

It was a fabulous tour with fabulous food and guide. The background of the neighborhood paired well with the delicious samples from the various merchants. This was our second tour, we also went on the Greenwich Village tour. We would recommend them both and would repeat either tour.

This was our third foods of NY tour and I have to say they keep getting better and better...Daryll was informative, entertaining and throughly enjoyable. I highly recommend these tours for the fun of them as well as the knowledge of the tour guides. I am looking forward to my next tour!!!!!
