| We all had a wonderful time on this tour. Cindy was an amazing guide giving us lots of history and "insider info". We even got to thank the developer of the Chelsea market for doing such a good job with the building!!
The tastings were delicious and varied and we were all stuffed when we left!!!
Can't wait to do another tour (the next time of Greenwich Village)!! I will make sure to ask for Cindy as a guide!!
As a veteren "foodie" I highly recommend this tour!!! |

| The tour was great! I travel a lot in the US and internationally and I thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour. The information, the guide, and the locale were interesting. I took the tour on my first full day in NYC and recommended it to people I met in the city.

| A few years ago I took the Greenwich Village tour and I was somewhat disappointed with this one. The food choices were not as varied - we ate a lot of bread. And when we sat down for a "feast," having lemonade (I think it was blueberry) was the absolute wrong choice to mix with olives, salami, cheese and marinated eggplant - the whole thing gave me heart burn!!
On the Greenwich tour I remember eating from an Italian deli, bakery, chocolate place, pizzeria (which was absolutely delicious!!) and a Middle Eastern place. The choices on the Chelsea tour were flat and without the same quality. The Greenwich tour was a few years ago (probably 3) and I still remember the food and our wonderful tourguide (Zora). I doubt I'll have the same recollection of this tour 3 years later.
The tour in the meat packing district itself was skimpy and with no food. We stopped in the new restaurant, Nero's, and it would have been more interesting if we could sample food there or at some other restaurant outside of Chelsea Market.
Any thought to doing a wine tasting either in Chelsea Market at the wine place or one of the restaurants?? Don't know if there are legal issues but thought it might be worth looking in to.
Overall, I think the concept of a Chelsea/MPD tour is good but the specifics need to be reevaluated. I would not recommend this tour to friends. I have recommended the Greenwich tour without reservation.

| It was as much fun as anticipated. We also enjoyed the facts learned. It seems my mother went to school on the same street and also enjoyed my retelling of the areas history. |

| I thought that Curt my tour guide provided a lot of interesting information, but the tour seemed less exciting since most of it took place in one building. Although overall I really enjoyed my experience, and I highly suggest others to do it! |

| I recently took both the West Village tour and the Chelsea Market and Meat packing district tour. Both are offered by the same company. I preferred the West Village one because the foods we sampled were more varied, more interesting, and there were more of them. Also it seems that they selectively chose which establishments we visited. The Chelsea Market tour had only the pickings in the market. In the Meat packing district there was not too much to see and nothing to taste because most of the meat packing places have closed. Both of these tours are a fun activity and the group is well run and the guide was well informed. Bon appetite! |

| I loved the tour. We chose this one because we had such a great time 4 years ago at the Greenwich Village Tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and history of Chelsea Meat Packing District. We just happened to have the same tour guide as our last tour. We would never have noticed all the little things he pointed out to us like the granite sculptures and structural details. The food was absolutely fabulous and we went back to most places and picked up a few items. I reccommend these tours to everyone I know who is visiting NYC. |

| This tour was very informative to us as we didn't know much about this area of New York City. It was fun (and delicious) to sample different foods from the various vendors, and our guide was great! He was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. The tour was well paced and we had plenty to eat. Thanks for a great time! |
