Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

Fun, interesting, filling tour of Chelsea Market and meatpacking district....much more time spent in the market, but that's okay given it was pouring rain.

My girlfriend & I took this tour and both agreed it was excellent. Kurt, our guide, could not have been more knowledgeable, interesting, and FUN! He knew everyone in the group by name and expressed a contagious enthusiasm for his job, always trying to be certain everyone was comfortable & having fun. The vendors & shopowners we visited were very accommodating and the food was terrific. We cannot wait to do another tour on our next visit to the city.

We all had a great time. Our guide, Curt was informative, personable and had a great sense of humor. Would definitely recommend this tour.

The tour guide Daryl was amazing. Full of personality and character. The food tastings were great. Maybe some more walking outside as opposed to everything being contained inside. Overall, the best we have been on. We would highly recommend!

Kurt was our tour guide for the Chelsea Market tour. We had a great time! Kurt was hilarious, very personable, and impressed us with his knowledge of food and the area. The food on the tour was great, was enough for lunch. Just being in Chelsea Market was such a neat experience! We'd love to do another tour of a different area and would request to have Kurt again!!

This is our second food tour with Foods of New York and once again loved our experience. Chelsea is a unique neighborhood and it was great being able to learn about its history and current life all while eating delicious foods. Our guide Daryl was as entertaining as he was knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour to anyway, whether they love in New York or are just visiting.

Bob was a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable and likeable and very friendly to everyone. A few of the tourists were a little difficult to keep with the group (like herding cats) but Bob was pleasant but did his best to keep everyone together. We got a lot of food and it was all delicious. It made a great lunch. I also liked getting to see the high line and exploring the meat packing district.

Cindy was a GREAT tour guide...enthusiastic, energetic, funny, knowledgeable. The food was great. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and now I want to try the Greenwich village one too!

Didn't know what to expect really, but after arriving for the tour we knew we had made the right decision to take the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tour. Not only did we discover many of New York's hidden jewels, but learned so much history of that area of town. After the tour was complete we found ourselves returning to the Chelsea Market area three more times during the rest of our vacation. Couldn't leave New York without going back to The Lobster Place, the amazing seafood market and best Lobster Bisque I've ever had. We happen to be in New York over the 9/11 Anniversary weekend and Fashion Week so there was lots of activity going on. Our guide, Darrell, was very knowledgable about the market and surrounding areas. Now we know why many celebrities choose to frequent these shops. Can't wait to take other food tours in New York!
