We had a great afternoon with Sam and would highly recommend it to our friends and family. We are looking forward to trying a different tour next time we are in NYC. |

Samson was a very engaging and enthusiastic guide, and the tour covered a LOT of ground! We were very impressed with the food, and Samson is obviously well-thought-of by the vendors in the market. A few comments, however:
1. We were told we would be coming back to Chelsea Market at the end of the tour. In fact, we ended up on the penthouse level of a hotel several blocks away, where Samson joined a couple guests in the bar and left the rest of us to make our way. Since we did want to shop at some of the places we'd seen, it was a little inconvenient to have to walk all the way back on our own.
2. We thought we heard Samson say that the Food Network studio, or at least part of it, would be in the tour, and we were not shown anything from the Foot Network.
3. While it was neat to see Morimoto and Battali's restaurants, it would have been more interesting to hear/see more of the history of the area. Our "meatpacking" part of the tour involved walking past a place that had old signs on it, with an active meatpacking plant across the street but we didn't see any of it.
Again, we loved the tour and have already highly recommended it but there were a couple areas we felt we were a little misleading in terms of what was actually included in the tour. We'll definitely check again next time we come to NYC!
Thank you! |

We had such a good time on the tour. The food was delicious. Our tour guide
was funny, informative and very entertaining. We also received a booklet of all the places we visited. We are already thinking about signing up for another tour through a different area! This was so fun! I will recommend this tour to everyone I know. |

This tour was far more than anyone in our group had expected. We are all local and have been to the market many times, but we were looking for something different to do. As it turned out, it was not only something different, but it was a GREAT time. We sampled some yummy food and laughed for three hours, thanks to our phenomenal tour guide Kurt. Not only was it fun, but it was informative and interesting. It was three hours well spent. Thank You Kurt!!! |

We booked the tour not expecting a lot but expecting a average time. We were totally surprised by the tour guide, Sam and his knowledge of all that we learned.
It was a very interesting way to spend 3 hours in New York City. I would not suggest you bring children or teenagers unless the teenagers are interested in history and food.
Overall we got more than we expected and would highly recommend this tour for foodies and the "not your regular tourist". |

My wife and I took our 22 year old daughter, her roomate, and our 14 year old son. Everyone had a great time!! The presentation was informative, and the food was great! The day was freezing, so it was nice that most of the tour was inside Chelsea Market. We did the Greenwich Village food tour 2 years ago, and it was also cold, and that tour was mostly outside. I would not recommend this tour for small children, because I fear that they would become antsy. But, all in all, the Chelsea Market tour was well worth the money! |

I can't imagine a better 3 hours in New York. Our tour guide, Samson, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic without being cheerleader-annoying. The selection and quality of food was top-notch. Definitely don't eat lunch before you go, though! |

Our tour was fantastic. The food is excellent, and gives you a great variety of types of food. Our tour guide Sam could not have been better. He was energetic and very knowledgeable about both the food we were eating and the history of Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District. This is a great option for a date or just for a group of friends, especially for foodies. |
