Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

Overall, I thought the tour was awesome. It was something that I never experienced, nothing can even come close to it. We had went to the chelsea meat market. I had never even heard of it, sorry to say. I grew up in Brooklyn and no one ever mentioned it to me. It was a huge old building roughly 150 years old, i was amazed to see all the stores in it. Specialty stores I might add. It is definitely something to check out. I definitely want to do the other tours. We actually lucked out with a parking spot right near the market. Couldnt ask for more. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and pleasant. He really knew the area quite well. The food samplings were very good. I can't say anything negative about this experience at all. Do yourself a favor and book it. You will not be let down.

We did the Chelsea, Meat Packing District tour on a cold January day. We spent most of our time in Chelsea Market, which was nice due to the weather. We sampled foods at different shops and restaurants, and learned about the history of the market and the meat packing district. Our guide was wonderful, as was the guide on the tour before ours. The participants were all casual well dressed adults who were eager to "go with the flow". I'm looking forward to taking the SoHo tour in the Spring!

I loved the Chelsea / Meatpacking tour! This was the best tour I have been on. Kurt was a very engaging and entertaining host. Not to mention knowledgable. I recommend this tour!

This tour was so fantastic! Our tour guide Daryl, was Amazing! I took my Niece ( 18) and Grandaughter (11) and they loved it. Just the right amount of walking, the right amount of information, humor and the food tasting was a Great touch.. We will definitly recommend and do it again!

I took the Chelsea Market-Meat Packing District Tour with my Daughter who is interning this summer in New York and I was visiting. We loved learning about a new area of Manhatten that we weren't familiar with. Todd was our tour guide and was great. So nice and informative. We did the tour on a Saturday and went back the next day on Sunday to pick up some of the goodies we experieinced along the tour and ate at a Restuarant that Todd recommended in the Meat Packing district for Brunch. It was awesome. We also did some shopping and got some great sales. It made for really great daytime activities in a less congestion part of town.

KURT WAS VERY GOOD, I THOUGHT THE FOOD WOULD BE BETTER. THE EVERYTHING COOKIE WAS FAB

You know its great when people kept trying to join our group - Food tastings were delightful, the history lesson was the best - only wish the weather was more accomidating but the guide was able to modify the tour outside to keep us somewhat protected - did not diminish our enthusiasm. Nice intro to the area was able to go back to the stores afterwards to shop informed!

NICE IF TOUR ENDED IN THE MARKET WHERE IT BEGAN SO PURCHASES COULD BE MADE AT THE STORES TOURED.

I invited my parents on my second tour Chelsea Mkt / Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting. The tour guide whose name escapes me right now was very knowledgeable with the history of area. I love history so it's was more to my liking then my parents. The food was great.

My husband and I went on the tour this past Saturday. This tour and the tour guide Cindy was one of the highlights of our visit to the City. The market in the old Nabisco facility was incredible, it was so interesting to learn the history of the building. The outdoor meatpacking part of the tour was very interesting too. This is a tour that is definitely recommended, the food that we sampled was well worth the price of the ticket to go on the tour. The next time I visit the city with my girlfriends, We will go on this tour even though I have been once, it is something that should not be missed.
