We attended the Chelsea Market food tour, with tour guide Bob. Our group of five family and friends included 40-somethings, 20-somethings and a teenager. Some of us hail from Boston, and some have recently relocated to the financial district of NYC. We all had a wonderful time exploring and learning the history of the Meat Packing District, while tasting great food. Bob went above and beyond (literally! we went to the roof top of a hotel for a panoramic view, and we were privileged to get a sneak-peek into several highly desirable restaurants owned by some of the area's top chefs) all while treating us to insiders knowledge of the district. When the tour concluded we couldn't help but return to Chelsea Market to purchase the fixings for what turned out to be a wonderful dinner! If you enjoy cooking, we suspect you'll do the same. |

Our guide, Kurt, was amazing. His was entertaining and exceedingly knowledgable. Our particular group had a wide range of folks and he was able to make it interesting and fun for everyone - including my 10 year old son! I would recommend this tour highly. My cousin was with us and she lives in New York and learned as much about her city as we did. She is planning on signing up for other food tours based on this one. Thank you for such a great event.

We toured with Darryl on Friday, Aug 3. This was a lot of fun and informative. Darryl did a great job. I took my 12 year old son, who is a "foodie" and food network fan. We also learned about the gentrification of the meatpacking district and about the high line railroad. I can't get my kids to agree to go to museums, so this was a great alternative!!!
During the tour, we were able to go inside the Del Posto restaurant and secure dinner reservations for saturday nite. We took my husband there for his birthday last nite and it was a wonderful experience!!!!
We may sign up for the village tour next!!!
Thank you. |

We enjoyed the Chelsea Market (8/07) and the Greenwich Village (3/07) tours very much. Both guides were friendly, knowledgeable and lots of fun! The food was great and we have and will revisit many of the places introduced. |

Our tour guide Cindy was enthusiastic, knowledgable, and really made the tour a complete success. The history of the Chelsea Market building and area was quite informative and the discussion on the changes occuring there now was timely and interesting. The food tasting on the tour was very satisfactory with both amount and variety. We would definitely recommend this tour. |

Kids with us are 17 and 18. They also enjoyed the tour and the tastings. Our guide was personable and knowledgeable. Obvious he has a lot of passion for NYC and this tour. This is our second food tour with ya'll. I think we will likely try to do a different one each time we visit. (last visit 2002) It's provides a nice balance to the totally touristy things you do in NYC. |

Due to your non-cancellation policy, we had to forfeit out money. We wish we could have gotten our money back, but we didn't cancel because of your policy. We were at a hospital, due to a family member's illness, in another town, and were unable to cancel. Had I been at home I would have done differently.
If we are able to reschedule a NYC visit, we would again like to make the food tour a part of the visit. |
