The food was good, our guide was informative, and we enjoyed the neighborhood sites. I plan on taking the tour in another neighborhood soon, and I've recommended this to friends and family. |

Our first visit to New York, the Market tour was a wonderfully informative introduction - not just to the food, but the history of the area, the gossip and plenty of hints and tips from our guide Darryl for the rest of our stay. Many thanks for a great morning! |

My friends are food-aholics and loved seeing the Chelsea Market ,which we didn't know existed. We went back to several of the shops and made purchases after the tour. It was a wonderful 3 hours with a terrific, very entertaining guide. Definitely got our money's worth. |

The only drawback was we had called earlier in the week to see if we could change our date from sunday to saturday. Wendy told us no. Understood. But, then the day of our tour 2 additional friends of a group showed up with no reservation and the tour guide allowed them to attend. Therefore, we were short seats, plates, etc.... did not seem very fair especially because we were told no. So if we had just showed up saturday would the guide allowed us to have joined the group? |

I love this tour so much that it is the second time I've booked it. My husband and the other couple with us all said it was very worthwhile. Our Tour Guide was very informative both about the food and the history of the area. |

My girlfriend and I took the Greenwich tour last year so wanted another tour this year. This was my favorite thing I did (includes seeing 2 B-way shows). This was the best money we spent, was so educational, and fun. Our guide was super!!! He kept us entertained and learned all our names within minutes. (KEEP HIM ON BOARD)! I can't find enough good words to say how much I enjoyed every minute. One reason I really liked this one is that it did not involve as much walking as the Village tour. I bought so much stuff from almost every place we went and we even ate dinner that night at Del Posta, all because of the tour. This is a fact that the places on tour should know. It is definitely a sale booster for them. I recommend this tour to locals, as well as visitors. Thank you so much and I will be looking forward to another of your tours next year

This is the second Zerve tour we've taken. We did the Greenwich Village tour two years ago. While this was a great tour that opened up an area of the city that I didn't know much about, I would suggest that people that could do just one, do the Greenwich Village tour first. The tour guides on both tours were knowledgeable and interesting to talk with. They willingly provided individual attention, and tried to accomodate dietary constraints.
Howqever, the chelsea and Meatpacking District tour made for a very enjoyable day. Since there was less walking than the other tour, it was more relaxing. Most of the tour was at the market, going from store to store. There's a great selection of sponts to shop and eat at, and some to dine at that if we had more time we would have patronized. Some of them reminded me of the Pike Place Market in Seattle and other destination markets our here. Especially remarkable was the Lobster Place with the huge selection of seafoods and the great chowders. Also, the produce store was fascinating with its huge selection of mushrooms.
On future trips to New York, we'll be going back to the meatpacking district to see how it evolves.
Thanks for running these tours. I hope that by the time of our next trip there will be new offerings to consider. |
