Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

This is a very interesting tour and the treats that you taste are wonderful. The guide was very knowledgeable and told lots of "behind the scenes" stories, the sort of thing that makes taking a tour worthwhile. Highly recommended, I would do it again next time I'm in New York.

Great guide, great food, very cool place to explore with interesting history.

We met our tour guide, Bob at Chelsea Market, and he made us feel like old friends the minute we met him. He was VERY informative, upbeat and fun. He kept us interested, happy and fed us many great varieties of food. Went up to the High Line, where he gave us all the details about how it became what it is today. Then we ended up in the Meatpacking District, leraned all the facts and finished up in a nice Italian Restaurant. Bob was an excellent Tour guide and this was a ver good food tour.

This tour was a gift from my daughter--we are frequent visitors to NYC (is there a better city?) but have never explored the Chelsea Mkt. area---it was just wonderful!! Our tour guide, Bob, was the quintessential New Yorker--he knew his stuff (or was very good at making it up) and was clever, quite witted and humorous--the foods we tasted were great, the area was fun and it was wonderful to see it reinvent itself (I'm old enough to remember it as an area to drive through quickly on the way to the tunnel). I highly recommend this tour and I plan to do a few other tours.

We had a wonderful tour- not only all of the tastings, but our guide, Bob Gelber was full of interesting history of the Chelsea market and the local area. We highly recommend both the tour and Bob

My mom was in town visiting, and since she used to live in the city we decided to do something new. I chose this tour mainly because of the location, and I am so happy that I did. The tour started right on time, and our tour guide Curt was amazing! He had all of our names and where we were from down from the very beginning, greeted each one of us individually, and was so enthusiastic about his job. Each restaurant we went to he made sure that I had an option (I don't eat meat) which was so great and accommodating. At the beginning of the tour we even had a woman come up to our group to show Curt the picture that they had taken from the year before on the same tour- boy did she rave about how good his tour was! The whole time he had all of our attention with his information, stories, and extensive knowledge of the city and food. I have already recommended this tour to a bunch of people! Kurt was a great guide who gave 100 percent to ensure that everyone on the tour had a good time. He provided information and fun! Food was good. All round, good value!

Hugely enjoyed experience of Chelsea Market, and Cindy was a knowledgeable and informative guide. We are an older couple, and a little slower than rest of group, but this was neatly taken into account. Combination of market and Highline works wonderfully, and Cindy was able to offer us a fine picture of the dynamism of this part of a great city. Thank you.

The Chelsea tour is an excellent tour detailing the history of Chelsea and the Meatpacking district, and a great sampling of foods from different establishments. The guide was energetic, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. I would recommend this tour to my family and friends - in fact this was the second time we took the tour to show some family members new to NY this area.
