| This was the second tour I've taken with the Food Tours Group, and the Chelsea/Meatpacking tour was every bit as interesting and fun as the previous one I took last year (the Greenwich Village Tour).
We were fortunate enough to have Curt again - what an informative and very entertaining tour guide. He had us laughing the whole time, and certainly was well informed about the area - you could tell this was a young man who really enjoyed his work!
The Chelsea Market was a facinating place, and we were totally stuffed after hours of nibbling, tasting, and munching our way throughout the building. The restaurants we visited in the Meatpacking District also made us want to go back on our own to try on another visit.
Anyone who says they were still hungry after taking the tour must be crazy!
The tours offered are well worth the price, and my girlfriend and I look forward to coming back to New York and signing up for one of the others they offer now. We know we won't be disappointed! |

| Enjoyed the guide and the tour. I would like a little more in the way of historical information. Also, although it is implied that lunch will not be "necessary" due to the amount of food tasted during the tour, that is not altogether accurate. I certainly did not look for a full course meal, but by the same token, the bare minimum given in a couple of places emphasized more (although cleverly combined), that this was also an advertising tour, and diminished somewhat the appearance of it being an historical one, and left us looking for a place to eat when the tour was done. As a matter of convenience, I would also like the tour to finish where it began, since many participants were very interested in purchasing some of the items that the merchants were selling, and it was necessary to walk back to the market upon completion of the tour. Although the dialog and descriptions of things is somewhat "scripted," all of the guides should have the same information to share first, and then any embellishments and humor that they add is welcome. My criticism is merely constructive, since I enjoyed the tour and the company. Thanks for a nice day with my adult children who also enjoyed the "birthday gift tour." |

| Hi - we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Our guide Diana was terrific. There was tons of food and we ate everything. The quality was some of the best in the city. Would recommend to anyone who was interested in food and New York with some history thrown in! |

| Bob our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the Chelsea area, and we appreciated his experiences there as a native New Yorker. This neighborhood is so vibrant and has so much colorful history. We totally enjoyed the tastings and will go back to the area on future trips to try some of the restaurants and shops we went into on the tour. This is our second walking tour from Foods of New York ,and we will definitely take their other offerings on future trips to New York City. |

| This was a fabulous tour. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I went with my mom, 2 aunts and a cousin. We all enjoyed it so much. We all thought that the tour was very informative and we loved our tour guide. I wish I could remember his name because he really made the tour special and fun. I also want to say thank you to the tour guide because he made sure that my one aunt had something to eat at every place we stopped for food (she has a gluten intolerance). We all enjoyed ourselves so much, that when we come back next year, we will go on one of the other tours offered. |

| If you have a chance to visit Chelsea Market, please do, but you could do it on your own. I believe each group takes a chance with its guide, and ours was too intense. She kind of "pushed us around" instead of giving us a relaxing 3 hour history lesson as our guide did last season when we did the Greenwich Village and SoHo tour. The guide makes or breaks it as far as I'm concerned.
All the shops in the market could be seen independently. Most give tastings anyway, so you wouldn't be missing out on the food.
We spent 2 hrs. in the market which was overkill. Once we got outside it was more interesting, but again we were micromanaged by our guide. The two stops out of the market were interesting and the food at Macelleria (?) was very good. They even gave us water and let us sit down with our food. Our group liked it so much we went back for supper.
The Chelsea Mkt. tour should include 1 hr. max in the market, traveling at a more leisurely pace, and then more on the streets of NYC which is not as easy to do on your own. |

| This was a perfect blend of history with pop culture, and food from many ethnicities!
The food servings were much more than a tasting. Come hungry! All food was fabulous with no pressure to try something you're not interested in.
We enjoyed the other people on the tour.
We're recommending this to other family and friends and would definitely do another tour our next trip to the city. |
