We had a great time, and Kurt was excellent! The tour really was robust - history of the area, history of the indivdual shops and restaurants, and full explanation about the food. And everything we tasted was great!!

My husband and I enjoyed the tour very much - we were visiting NYC for a week from western Canada - our first time. The Chelsea Market tour was one of th highlights. Thank you.

Another worthwhile tour

This is another tour by the company which is excellent value. Having taken the Greenwich Village wine and food tour which was outstanding, this tour whilst not (nor could be in my opinion) the equal it never-the-less gave a great deal of information and exposure to the Chelsea Market and to a limited extent some surrounding areas. The guide was enthausiastic and knowledgeable and engaged with our diverse group in a friendly and easy fashion. I think the initial remark that tips would be appreciated but not necessary at the end of the tour was a bit tacky and really wasn't needed.

The tour was AMAZING! Being a NYer, there are many places here that we overlook and Chelsea Market is one of them. Sam was our tour guide and was not only knowledgeable, but kept us amused! The samples of food were not only fresh but different than most NY locations. Amy’s bread was AWSOME which we were able to taste when we stopped at an Italian deli where we were informed the owner was working right at the table with her employees. The history of the location, along with the interesting stores and the items they had which are not as easy to find in many of the local stores in NY. I loved the idea that we were allowed to step into a few of the more exclusive restaurants that many of us would never fathom on going to. Shopping is a must, but several items might be better off picking up after the tour or on the way back on your way home. There are a lot of things that were of interest to purchase and if you are not a native NYer, you might want to take some back with you to savor later. This is definitely something to do with friends, visitors from out of town etc. Not sure if young children would like the tour. Just a few things to remember, first be prepared for the climate and wear comfortable shoes (this is a MUST since there is a lot of walking involved!), second BE ON TIME! Our group ran late and had to catch up with the group. The do leave ON TIME and you should be there early! NY traffic can be horrendous so take the subways, and third, leave all forms of communication in the "OFF MODE" there is just so much information that distractions should be few especially with the number of people that are involved.

This is now my second tour accessed through Zerve. First one was Chicago and now NYC. Kurt, our guide was delightfully entertaining, had an impeccable memory - knew all of our names within the first 5 minutes - amazing! Great tour in general with lots of food to be had...actually too much food at times, which is not a bad thing at all. Great information and knowledge received of the area and history provided. I would highly recommended this to anyone! This is one of the first things I do now when I travel - looking up cultural/walking tours, great use of time and money!

Enjoyed the afternoon of food and information

Our guide Cindy was awesome, She had more information to share than time to share it. She was very personable and friendly and kept our attention. It was very apparent that she knew all of the people in the establishments and was well liked, as she said Hi to all by name and they replied with Hi and smiles and even some gifts. Obviously, Cindy enjoys her job and was able to share her passion with us. I would recommend this tour to others with no hesitation. The treats were great and there were plenty of them. No one had to go away hungry!

We would go again in a minute. The guide, Samuel, was great. The food was delicious. The information given was very informative & interesting. The weather was wonderful.(not that you had anything to do with that, but it made an already "great" tour greater. We also enjoyed the places presented other than the food stops. Highly recommend it.
