Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

My husband & I enjoyed the tour very much. The guide was great. Our group was all couples. The Chelsea Mrkt. is really something to see.

This was our second food tour. Did Greenwich Village on our last visit and enjoyed it so much we were determined to try a different tour this year and brought along five friends. Everyone thanked us for our recommendation. The tour guide was great and the food was fantastic. Plenty for lunch. Hope to do the other Greenwich Village tour on our next NYC visit. Thanks for providing such an interesting, informative and tasty tourist attraction.

What a wonderful opportunity to hear the history and savour the tastes of the Chelsea Market. This "hot " area is home to top restaurants and top designers and a has a fun feature in the High Line Park. Bob Gelber lead our group and was an outstanding guide. He knows the area intimately and knows the merchants personally. He was patient and humourous. This was a highlight of our New York weekend and we would highly recommend the experience.

Our guide, Kurt, met us right on time at the Chelsea Market--he made a real effort to remember and use all of our first names--and was amazingly successful. He really knew the area and told us many interesting things about it. He was very knowledgeable about all the establishments we visited (and there were quite a few), and made sure we all were enjoying ourselves, learning about the Market and meat packing district, and along the way eating lots of delicious food. When we met, it was raining and he said how lucky we were to have chosen this tour as the Market part was all inside--but he promised that by the time we came to the meat packing part, during which we walked outside, the sun would be shining and it would be a beautiful day--and he was right! We also visited several restaurants in the area which was great because we plan to visit Chelsea when next we're in NYC and now we know some good places to eat. Altogether a delightful day. We can't recommend the tour highly enough.

We had a nice tour through meatpacking district. To see the shops including some food is interesting and to hear some of the history too. Our guide Kurt appeared to be a bit of a chatter and that is an understatement. He talks the whole time but that seems to be normal in New York. Absolutely a nice tour and definitely worth a recommendation to go to one of the nicest areas in NYC!

Very interesting exposure to the local history and current merchants

It was enjoyable to learn about Chelsea Market and the entire area. The tastings were great and the guide knowledgeable and amusing. I definitely would recommend this tour.

Great food, generous portions, and a wonderful tour guide! What more could you ask for? Come hungry!
