Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

In a nutshell, we loved this tour! This is the third Foods of New York Tour we have taken and once again they have hit a home run with the Chelsea Market and Meatpacking District Tour. Our guide, Diana, was wonderful. She was both entertaining and extremely well versed in every aspect of the tour, including the history and cultural aspects of the market and the surrounding Meatpacking area. We sampled foods from a wide variety of food shops and restaurants in and around the Chelsea Market -- all of which were absolutely delicious! To top the great food off, we gained facinating insights into the development of the businesses, artwork and architecture in the marketplace and the surrounding area.

I have traveled to NCY numerous times and did the Chelsea Market and Greenwich Village tours. They are a must do! You learn so much history while sampling many great foods. But the best part is learning about a part of this vast city and then being able to go back and visit at your leisure. After my Chelsea Market tour, I went immediately back to shop and then took my husband back the next day. Each time I go back to NYC, I will visit these food tour locations. Daryl was a fantastic guide; enthusiastic, funny and kind. Thank you food tours of NY. Looking forward to the next tour:)

From the first 2 minutes when our guide, Kirk, had memorised 12 participants names and their country of origin, (as well as the 4 people - and their country of origin - WHO HADN'T EVEN ARRIVED!!!), he had us "eating" out of his hand. His enthusiasm was infectious, his local and food knowledge extraordinary, and his delivery flawless. A true professional. Would recommend this tour to anyone interested in this area of New York - the three hours flew by and we all wanted more!

we were fortunate to have kurt as our guide. He kept us entertained for the duration. His adlibing and enthusiasm for the food tour truly kicked in and is something we would highly recommend.

Our trips to NYC always centered on Times Square. It was nice to explore another section of NYC. We look forward to taking another tour.

Our guide was Kurt and he was wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable And had a great sense of humor. This tour was more interesting than walking Through a museum. I will sign up for another food tour next time I am in the city.

This was my 4th tour with this company and I have been VERY pleased every time. I think this was one of my favorites. My husband went with me and he absolutely loved it as well!!!

This tour was excellent. The guide was organised, witty and well informed. The pace of the tour was just right. The 3 hour duration made it a pleasant and unhurried experience and the guide made a concious effort to include everyone in the commentary. All of the food sampled was delicious. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in good food and the history of the area. I went on the tour on my own but was made to feel part of the overall group very quickly. I would also say the tour was excellent value given the number of stops we made and the variety of food we sampled. It was easily the highlight of my 5 day stay in New York

3 hours of relaxed enjoyable fun with great tastings. Tour guide had fantastic knowledge of the market and its environment. History of Chelsea Market from when it initiated the ups and downs and where it is today. My wife and I have nothing but raves.
