Highly recommend this tour to get an overview and history lesson of the Chelsea market and meat packing district and our favorite, the 'Highline'. Our guide (Barri) was fantastic! She made the tour extra fun with her knowledge of the area and her enthusiasm! Don't worry about not getting enough to eat, the food samples were all excellent and filling.,.A most enjoyable event! My three friends and I took the Chelsea/Meatpacking tour and it exceeded our expectations. It was a lovely combination of history and good food. Our guide Barri was wonderful - full of interesting anecdotes, information and a detailed appreciation for the food and places that were visited. She took very good care of us and our special needs and dietary restrictions, which were varied. We thought the tour was a great value and one of the highlights of our trip to New York.

Well run.. would definately recommend even if you are on your own... the set up lends itself to meeting others if you wish.

My sister-in-law,and I, along with our 20 something year old sons took this tour and we all enjoyed it. Our tour guide Darrel was excellent and we received a little history of the area, tasted some great food from the shops at Chelsea Market and walked around the area a bit. It was great to do on a warm day because most of the tour takes place inside the Market. This is my second tour, (I did Chinatown 2 years ago, also excellent) and it is a great way to get you started in becoming familiar with an area of NYC.

Our guide Barri was wonderful. She had great knowledge of the history surrounding the area, answered questions, was friendly, pleasant, informative, I can't say enough about her. This tour was a great way to hit several of the stores, taste their wares, and get a sense where you were. I have already recommended this tour to a group of friends that will be heading to New York in the fall. Book it now or you'll be sorry!!

We had a great time. Great food and great friends! We learned a lot (thanks to our tour guide, Darrell). It's great to get off the beaten path in NYC.

I was meeting my mom in NYC and this tour fit in our schedule and was in walking distance of our hotel (Four Points Soho). I was a bit weary about the three-hour commmitment and told my mom if she tires or if we were bored we could cut out early. But the tour was fantastic. The food and stories and High Line walk were great but the best part was the tour guide. He had great stories of all the shopkeepers, the Meatpacking district, local celebrities, history of the market, etc. We took the 10:30 tour. Note to others: DO NOT eat a big breakfast beforehand. The food is phenomenal - more than enough of Italian, Australian, milk bar, bakeries, lobster bisque, etc. You won't need lunch either afterward. More than enough food at each stop - the guide was pushing seconds on us, with more than enough time to eat and wander around the shops too. Everything you are eating is explained and all questions are answered. After "Book of Mormon" this was our best experience in NYC. The tour may seem expensive but it is a great deal.
