Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

I have been on at least 5 or 6 of your food tours and highly recommend them to my friends because they are so informative and fun. We had Kurt as a guide this time and I have to say that he was the best guide ever! He memorized everyone's names immediately and put the whole group at ease with each other right away. His insight to the inner workings of restaurants was wonderful. His high energy level and stories kept us laughing the entire time. I can't say enough great things about Kurt and the food tours!

This was the second time on the Chelsea Market Tour but it was my third Zerve food tour. I went with my husband and college aged daughter on the Greenwich Village tour first, which they enjoyed more than Chelsea Market. This trip I took my with my book group. They absolutley loved it. I liked the tour guide better the second time. The information that I learned was not that repetitive. It is really a delightful experience and I would defintely do another food tour again, probably Little Italy next time I am in New York. It is not really touristy in that most people that live in NYC probably don't know a lot of the history that is shared with you. The food is filling, some tates are better than others, but it really doesn't matter. Go for the unique experience and enjoy! PS-They are are reliable and organized, and don't be late or they may leave without you!

Bob did a wonderful job of telling us all about the market and the food. We all enjoyed his stories. And the food was excellant.

This was my third tour with Foods of New York Tours, and they have all been fantastic. My recent tour in Chelsea Market was most enjoyable. Our guide, Kurt, was entertaining, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable about the area. Not only do you get to sample great food on these tours, but you learn facts about the neighborhoods and history that you may never learn elsewhere. I highly recommend this tour company!

It was wonderful and have been on many in NY and never had such a fun experience . Our guide was wonderful and made the day so enjoyable. I will go again when he has the group. Would give a 4star ++++ rating.

We specifically requested a time that Kurt was leading the tour (having heard 5 mins of his spiel during a previous visit to New York). We weren't disappointed. Topical, funny, personal, and yummy. This tour was terrific. Don't eat much (or anything) in advance.

Food was really good, but tour was even better. Getting to see the neighborhood with a guide that is so familiar with the area was really a great experience.

We enjoyed the history of the market, the food tastings and the general area. Learned a lot and would love to come back on my own and shop the market!

We had a fun time eating our way through Chelsea Market and learning about the history of the Meat Packing District. Great for tourists, great for locals. I took the Chelsea Market tour twice, with two different family members. One of the guides was a better historian and tour guide, which made for a more interesting experience, but the other tour was still good (too bad you can't choose based on the guides). Highly recommend. It's a nice intro to the neighborhood.
