I'm from the area but had never visited Chelsea market. It's an amazing place with great culture and of course great food. I can't wait to go back! I highly recommend this tour!

I did a few NYC food tours on my recent visit from Australia and they were all really good. But this one was on a whole different level. The guide was amazing and extremely entertaining and every stop was amazing. I can't recommend it enough, and Chelsea Market was truly amazing. Lots of free bonuses too! By far the best and a must do.

Great introduction to Chelsea and New York

This was our first day in New York and what a lovely introduction to this area and all the history our guide shared with us. Thoroughly enjoyed all the tastes we experienced and the extra bits of the Meatpacking district history. I would say one of these tours is a must on any New York itinerary!

Came to NYC with my husband and brought his daughter and my neice for their 21st birthday! This was an awesome tou!! Daryl, our tour guide, was just fabulous. Very engaging, full of knowledge and really funny! He made the tour!

Great tour guide, OK food choices.

The tour was fascinating, and the guide was great. The food choices in some of the locations were a little skimpy. One stop was a medicine cup sized drink of milk. Another was a biscuit and jam. Both were good, but quantities were a little lacking. Took the Greenwich Village tour and that seemed to offer a little more. Still, I would recommend the tour for the tour itself, while looking at the food as a lucky strike extra.

Interesting history and tasty food.

Our tour guide was energetic, knowledgeable, personable, and easy to hear. She explained the history of the Chelsea Market building,in addition to providing samples of yummy food. Also enjoyed the HighLine Park a great deal. A benefit of this tour is that you are inside for about half of it, so if it is rainy or snowy, you are under protection for awhile.

Our family loved this tour. I had read that other kids / teens thought the tour was a little bit too long. All of us loved this, including our 12 and 14 year old children. The food was awesome and there was tons of it. The tourguide (we had Kurt) made this fabulous tour even more amazing. He was fun, knowledgeable and quick-witted. We visited NY, Philly and DC on this trip, and all four of us agree that this tour was the highlight of everything in all cities.

Three friends and I went on this tour to celebrate a birthday. We had a ball! Our tour guide was excellent. He was an actor who supplemented his income by leading tours and that was a huge advantage in the holiday crowds at the Chelsea Market. We could always hear his commentary because his voice carried quite well. We enjoyed learning the backstory of how this neighborhood converted from being a home to the meatpacking industry and a hub for transvestite prostitution into the chi-chi dining and fashion hub that it has become. One of the major highlights of the tour was when we popped up onto the fabulous Hi-Line park. We were very lucky to have a beautiful day with excellent views. We got to sample a nice variety of foods in the Chelsea Market and a local restaurant. My personal favorite was the lobster bisque, which is the best lobster bisque anywhere. I think most people would enjoy this tour as much as we did.
