Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

Daryl provided more history of the area for us which added to the views we already had from a previous tour. We really enjoyed his fantastic recall for us of the celebrities who have been to the Chelsea Market and loved his view of the Meat Packing district...proves to me that it was a terrific tour for the second time and made me anxious to book the other tours as the tour guides are so much fun with their knowledge of the areas and pride in their roles to educate us. I gave this tour to my husband as a birthday present based on a recommendation from a friend. My husband's father was a butcher who had his own business in Queens more than a half century ago and he would accompany his father to the Meat Market as a youngster when his father would go to pick up meats. While we have visited Chelsea Market over the past several years, we never had the opportunity to learn the history of the building and he had not been back to the Meat Packing District in many years. It brought back many fond, nostalgic memories for my husband. Our tour guide, Diana was very enthusiastic and interesting as she provided many bits of trivia about the area. The food tastings were yummy, culinary treats and certainly offered more than enough food for a lunch. The building has been renovated and used in such an interesting, artistic and unique manner. We appreciated the opportunity to visit and tour the Morimoto and Del Poso Restaurants up close and personal. And then, walking on the highline in NYC, going to the Meat Market area and learning about how the Chelsea Market has been responsible for so many positive changes in the community over the years, was so informative. Thank you for such a wonderful experience and we will be back with family and friends to do this tour again and try some of the other tours you provide.

the tour was really enjoyable - i would recommend it to anyone visiting NYC. Our tour guide, Curt was very informative and had such a great sense of humour and you just knew he was so well connected to the group and wanted to make sure you had a really fun time!

Our food tasting tour of Chelsea Market (and the surrounding area) was fantastic. Our tour group was 15 people, and our guide, Curt, remembered everyone's name after a quick introduction. We spent a few minutes at a dozen locally owned restaurants and shops, and tasted some really delicious food. But it was really Curt, our guide, who made the tour fantastic. He was informative, funny, and had an amazing talent for keeping his audience engaged and entertained. The amount of food in the tour is enough for lunch: a red velvet cupcake, a full cup of lobster bisque, a bread/meat/cheese platter, and a lunch serving of pasta were among the excellent cuisines we sampled. I live in NYC, and have been to Chelsea Market many times, but I would highly recommend this tour for locals or tourists. I learned more about the area than I thought possible. And now I know a lot more great restaurants to recommend when friends come to town.

I knew next to nothing about this area which is one of the reasons I took the tour. Oh, to live and shop here! Insightful tour that included a lot of really great food. Love that we got a glimpse of the Highline and the Meat Packing District. I would take this tour again if only for the food :-) Thank you for a great experience!

The tour was really fun and wont be to affected if jts cokd or wet as much of the tour us inside the chelsea market. I am a vegetarian and they took good care of me. We were full and had some cook facts to share wiyh friends and family. Also, we have been meaning to walk on the high line and finally did on the tour. My husband enjoyed ut equally to me. Highly recommend this tour.
