We come to NY, one time a year...we have been on all of the food tours that have been available. They are always so much fun and we learn about the area from an excellent guide. Highly recommend

A Great Day In Chinatown

Our tour guide (R), as all your tour guides was very knowledgeable and knew things about the area that I totally was unaware of. Having been born and grown up less than a dozen blocks from the meeting place I was amazed at certain facts and information he presented. He was very clear, extremely considerate of the entire group and easy to follow. Made it a wonderful day in frigid temperature.

Our total group was a a mix of young and old, locals and tourist. The guide was great. He was full of info and dynamic. It was different than our past tours as we sat in the restirants and are. since it was cold outside this was a plus. I would suggest this tour to anyone who isn't afraid of eating GREAT Chinese food.

Bert did an outstanding job! We enjoyed the food as well as learning about the neighborhood and history. The Pekin duck was great. We will plan to do this tour again. Thanks Bert

This was our second food tour with Foods of NY Tours and we loved it! The tour guide, Bert, was knowledgeable, funny and caring, and really made the tour a fun and informative experience. We especially liked the dumplings at Dim Sum Go Go and the Peking Duck at the Peking Duck House but were less thrilled at the curry at the New Malaysia Restaurant. It was an upbeat, fast-paced, but really fun food experience.

Tour was excellent, even on a very windy and rainy day.Tour guide kept it fun even with the miserable weather.Food had a nice variety,,ie,Dumplings,Peking Duck,Malaysian Curry,etc..The time outside was probably less then normal due to the weather but the guide did a nice job explaining the community and it's history.People's eating preferences and allergies were easily handled.Instead of a scheduled pork dumpling,I had a chicken one.Others who had a seafood allergy received different ones instead of the seafood dumplings. All handled smoothly and professionally. All in all,a nice few hours

Everyone had a phenomenal time in spite of about as bad a weather day as we could have gotten: cold, windy and wet! This tour turned out to be perfect for bad weather. I'm sure on other days you'd spend more time outside, but for us our fantastic tour guide, Raheem, managed to keep us inside for maybe 75% of it, and outside underneath things for most of the rest of it. Everyone was laughing, smiling and eating their way through all the different restaurants and no one wanted it to end. Our group of four joined this tour, all from NYC and having spent lots of time in Chinatown -- and we all still learned a ton of new stuff. Stories on where things came from, lots about the culture of the neighborhood, and of course everything you could know about the food we were eating. The dim sum (mmm, the dim sum!), the duck, the roti…everything was fantastic. Great way to spend a wet and windy day in our own town! Go Raheem, he made it great for all of us. We'll be back...
