This is my fourth Foods of New York tour, and Raheem (our tour guide) is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable member of their team.
His facts and figures about Chinatown were wide-ranging, and the foods we tasted with him were outstanding. I'm reasonably sure I wouldn't have found these places myself, and as I travel alone it would have been difficult to try so many different foods.
I waddled away from this tour happy. Thanks Raheem and Foods of New York. I'm signing up for the Sushi experience the next time I'm in town. |

Everytime I come to New York I have to do one of these tours because they are always one of the highlights of the trip! I was here with my mum this time and we did the China town tour and the Greenwich village tour. The Chinatown tour was definitley worth it - our tour guide Raheem was fantastic and all the food was amazing! Its such a good way to explore an area that you might not make the most of on your own and a great way to get to know some great restaurants you can go back to at your leisure! If I come back again with my husband I would probably book this again as I thoroughly enjoyed it! I think my mum had a little crush on Raheem as well!! |

Chinatown has such an interesting history, and Raheem, our tour guide, was able to give us a definite flavor to the neightborhood. It is also really nice to taste all the different flavors, and to be able to learn how to distinguish fine cuisine! |

Being from an upper midwest community with little Chinatown knowledge, I would not have even ventured into the area if it had not been for this tour. Having attended another tour last month with friends, I talked my husband into doing this tour and we both loved it! We learned so much about the history of the area and particularly "real" Chinese food. It was fantastic! Our guide was enthusiastic and excellent. |

We selected this tour from the internet - what a find! This was so informative and fun at the same time...and the food was terrific, especially the REAL Peking Duck. |

This experience couldn't have been better. Rahim was enthusiastic, informative, very knowledgeable and wasted no time showing us where and how to eat at the best-of-the-best. We are encouraged to take more advantage of our own Chinatown here in Los Angeles. My wife and I look forward to other cuisines offered by this group. |

Me and a friend (from England) booked tickets to this event after going on the Greenwich tour last year and completely enjoying that one. And to be honest, we weren't disappointed with this tour. The tour guide (Remon?) had a lot of local knowledge and gave a nice insight into the etiquette and history of China and their food. This tour was particularly good, as there was a lot of places to sit and enjoy the food. The best part, for us, was watching the chef slice the peking duck, and to top it off, the duck was absolutely lovely.
There was nothing that we didn't like on the tour. The food was well thought out and presented at the right times in the tour.
The guide was clear; concise and knowledgable, and was keen to share his knowledge.
I would give this event 5 stars out of 5 and really would recommend the tour to anyone who wants to learn more about an area and learn more about the food. |
