I am a New Yorker (Manhattan) and I go to Chinatown fairly frequently. This tour was great! I was introduced to some new, really unique places as well as to some that I already know. Even though I have been to some of them before, this was a whole new experience. Akim's detailed description of the foods, culture and history made this such a memorable experience, I will definitely recommend the tour to friends and I will go on other tours that you offer. After 30 years of living in New York, I love being a tourist and still have lots to learn.

I've eaten in Chinatown numerous times and work a short walk away, but this tour broadened my knowledge 1000 percent. My parents were visiting from England so I bought us all tickets and we all loved it. The dim sum was eye-opening and delicious. The Peking duck was great, though less unusual. The other stops and history were excellent and yummy too. Raheem is a very knowledgeable and likable guide.

| Had a great time in Chinatown with the group.
Raheem was a great guide for a first time visitor or a local like myself.
I as well as the others on the tour especially loved his passion for food details as well as some history. The organizers of these tours need to take my advise and let Raheem put together some more exotic ethnic tours for local and visiting foodies. This is the fourth foods of New York tour I have been on and have enjoyed them all.
See ya on the next tour,
Allan

Each time we take one of your tours, this was our third, we think "How can another, be as good?" And, each time we are rewarded with another wonderful experience. Our excellent and jovial guide, Raheim (sp?), offered up historical tidbits on this neighborhood's long immigrant past, and on the Chinese-Americans who now call this area "home", as he navigated us through winding streets in search of Chinese delicacies. Raheim's enthusiasm for the area's excellent food was not misplaced. All the establishments we visited offered DELICIOUS fare. The dim sum, Peking duck, roast pork were outstanding! We are already making plans to head back for dinner....our palate was has been thoroughly enthralled! And, Foods of NY? Well done, we will be back for yet another tour soon!

Our tour guide (Rahim) was very nice. But the food was uninspired, especially for those of us who have been to this Chinatown previously. The first course (the dumplings) were interesting and different. But everything else (roast pork, scallion pancakes, etc.) just felt average - a number of restaurants have equally good versions, and they're well known items. I didn't really feel that I learned anything at all about Chinese food that I hadn't known previously.

Exploring Chinatown on a summer's day with a food & cultural guide was a wonderful day well spent! Raheem, our tour guide was very well versed in Chinese culture & food, patient, kind and humorous. He knew the area intricately and was enthusiastic in relaying this information to the group. I recommend this tour - highly educational & entertaining. This is the 2nd neighborhood tour we have experienced with FoodTours in NYC and am looking forward to the next NY neighborhood. By the way, the food was excellent and plentiful!!!

Food was the focus of the tour with fun facts and history of the neighborhood as an accent. As a local for the past 23 years, and a once short-term resident of Chinatown, I still learned something. Our guide Raheem was fun, knowledgeable and knew his audience well. He made everyone in the group feel welcome and comfortable, with the food, the neighborhood, and each other. The food stops were interesting and varied. Chinatown seems less daunting to me now.
