Chinatown Food and Culture Walking Tour

The guide was knowledgeable and mixed comments about history, food and anecdotes. Always interesting. The tour was just long enough and kept us inside and in the shade despite a 93 degrees temperature. The food was OK, not the best I had but quite good. It was a very pleasant experience and I will certainly take another tour with the same company on my next visit to NY

This was our second tour with Foods of New York. The weather was really hot so this particular tour, with its sit-down format, was ideal - it enabled us to escape the sweltering heat and get to chat with other folks in the group. The guide was informal but informative. We learnt a lot about the neighbourhood, its history and the cuisine. Throughout the guide was attentive to the needs of the group. We really liked the sauces & dim sum that started the tour - the one with Chinese chives was our favourite. The food on the rest of the tour was good - and the visits to the tea shops were interesting. We returned to China Town later in the week and explored more of the area. If we come to to NYC again we'd repeat the same tour - thank you!

This is my 3rd tour with this company and each one is better than the last one. The Chinatown Food Tour was a little different as it included 3 sit down courses, in addition to stopping at a few food spots, and of course the walking with all the history of the area. I especially liked the sit down part of the tour because we got to talk with the other people, who came from all over the world, in a comforatble and relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend this tour to everyone!

This is my 3rd food tour with your company and EVERY GUIDE has been fantastic! Their expansive knowledge and love of food is wonderfully matched to their background in the history and lore of each area covered in the city. I have returned to many of the restaurants and other establishment featured in each itinerary and have been thankful that I learned of them through you. Please keep expanding your offerings and I am looking forward to my next tour. By the way, Bert seemed like he had led tours for a decade and I was surprised to learn that this was his first "solo!"

Enthusastic guide who knows his business made this a fun tour. We brought friends but for my wife and I, It was our second time around. Just as much fun the second time around. Looking for something unique with excellent food and lots of lore, this is a great tour.

From Pittsburgh visiting my daughter in Brooklyn, and this was the second food/cultural tour we have attended. Tour guide was terrific, so full of facts, and so knowledgeable about Chinatown. The tastings were sit down and all delicious. Very nice restaurants. Staff at each went out of their way to provide a memorable experience. We will definitely try another.

Rahim was a fantastic,enthusiastic guide to a really interesting part of NYC. We had excellent food at several different restaurants; great way to spend an afternoon.
