Chinatown Food and Culture Walking Tour

Like many New York families, we tend to stick to our neighborhood and the things that are familiar to us. The Chinatown Food Walking Tour gave us a fun way to introduce our son to the sights, sounds and tastes of Chinatown, which he'd always been curious about. It also has given us the comfort to start making Chinatown's wonderful restaurants and shops a regular part of our lives. Our guide was Raheem was energetic and informative and the food, in the words of our ten year old, was "delicious," especially the "excellent" Peking Duck.

I have been on many New York food tours and was most impressed with this one. What makes it unique is that you actually sit down for meals in several restaurants as opposed to standing outside in the street. The food was delicious authentic chinese food - not your standard take out fare.

We live in New Jersey and received this tour as a gift and thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. The tour guide was great -- very personalbe and very knowledgeable. Our tour started out in a local chinese restaurant where we were served dumplings and condiments to go with it. the tour guide explained what we were eating, the customs of the Chinese people when eating. We went to 4 restaurants and had something different in all four including Peking duck. As we walked around Chinatown going from restaurant to restaurant, we were given the historical background of buildings and streets. We were taken into a few stores where they explained herbs, roots and Chinese cultural medicine. Another store had drinks and tea. so all in all we both enjoyed this food tour very much and would highly recommend it to anyone whether near or far.

Raheem was knowledgeable and enthusiastic; and cared for his customers. The food was exquisite! He found the best of the best to show us. Unfortunately he was unable to provide us with a paper guide to what we saw and ate. I would like very much to have one as we live in NY and would definitely return to the restaurants. My husband teaches history and Mandarin Chinese. for Father's Day i decided to take him on the Chinatown Food Tour. It was most enjoyable And our guide Rahim was informative and very engaging. IMy daughter, who lives in the city, went on a Greenwich Village Food Tour and highly recommended the tour company. i'M GLAD SHE DID!

Was given these tickets as a holiday gift and brought a friend. As two NY locals who thought we knew Chinatown, this was a great tour - both because of the great food and the general history and information provided on the tour. Definitely full after the tour but loved the food, especially the Dim Sum Go Go to start the tour. Couldn't help but take notes throughout the tour....can't wait to go back and explore Chinatown again now that we're 'experts'....

Beef jerky -stil would like to have hit this spot Ten Ren tea to finish the trip off ,was primo Highly recomend! WE( sister) and I had a great time !!
