Chinatown Food and Culture Walking Tour

This tour was a real highlight of my trip to NY and resulted in me making some new suggestions to locals! I also really liked the fact that the tour guide made such great recommendations outside of the places included in the tour. Thanks!

The gentleman who gave this tour did a fabulous job. I'd recommend this tour to anybody going to NYC.

This tour was a little different than the others offered by this tour group (I have done all of them) in that some of the tastings are done in a sit down atmosphere instead of the usual eat and go on the street. But that was necessary because the foods tasted (dumplings and Peking duck) were not well suited to eating with your hands. Other tastings were done on the street. It was a great tour with a great tour guide. Well worth the money and time. I learned a lot and had a great meal.

I can't say enough wonderful things about my food tour of Chinatown. First, the food was amazing and I am craving peking duck and dumplings. Raheem was a terrific tour guide. He took us to outstanding restaurants and gave us interesting history of the Chinatown area. It gave me a new understanding of the area and appreciation for the multicultural groups that live and work there. I can't wait until my next trip to Chinatown with my family so I can introduce them to the Chinese food. I would highly recommend this tour to get an insiders look at Chinatown and a feel for its' people, cultures , foods and history. Make sure you end your tour with a back massage and a bubble tea. Unbelievable.

I have the honour of being the first person to do all FIVE foodsofny tours ( do I get a frequent flyer card).....I have to say that the Chinatown tour was very very good. Rahmen outdid himself with knowledge and enthusiasium. The food was amazing. Might add a sweet in between all of the savoury choices though. Might also recommend that you consider a bit more of a walk between the Dim Sum place and the Peking Duck Restaurant......I can't recommend this trip too highly and I can't wait for your SIXTH experience-----Awesome job

I was pleasantly surprised that we would be sitting down in restaurants for the tastings, and not just a bite on the streets. Helpful if it's pouring out. There is some walking of course, but plenty of time in doors. Bert was a great guide and was very knowledgeable. I haven't been to Chinatown in years, but will be back soon, now that I know where to go.

A fun and informative culinary tour of Chinatown.

The tour was fun, informational, and interesting. The tour guide was very informed and friendly and knew his stuff. He provided us with insight to the chinese culture along with the food and history of china town. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a good history of the chinese culture.

This was my first food tour...and I cant wait to go again. I will check this out every place I visit. Our tour was excellent...food was delicious..and Burt was so nice and so informative. We never felt rushed..and had nice am't of food for each tasting.I will recommend this tour to family & friends.
