CHINA TOWN TOUR 10/20/12

My sister & I took the tour as part of our vacation to NYC. Burt/Bert (sp) was our guide and he was AWESOME! He took such great care of everyone, made sure our every need was taken care of; he told us great stories, kept the tour moving, it never got boring, the food was fantastic, and we LOVED the egg custard at the end. We also met the lovliest people in our group; the weather was perfect and all in all it was a great time and great memory. For me the only bad thing was seeing the ducks head hanging off the platter LOL but other than that I would HIGHLY recommend the tour to anyone I know going to NYC. Thank you so much! BURT ROCKS CHINATOWN!!!

My son and I took the Chinatown Walking Tour led by Burt and enjoyed every minute of it! He is very knowledgeable and made the experience a lot of fun. The food was excellent (so good that we went back to Dim Sum GoGo the next day!) and the portions were extremely generous. The Peking Duck House is an experience in itself. The duck is carved tableside and is to die for! What I would give for that duck carcass now that I'm home! This tour is worth every penny spent and more! Thank you, Burt for making this Florida girl's first trip to NYC complete! Kim Turano

I loved the Food Tour of Greenwich Village and thought this would be as good. It's OK, interesting, not a waste of time or money, but no where near as good as Greenwich Village. Not enough variety. How about tasting different teas or trying some exotic fruit at one of the street vendors?

Excellent Guide, Tour & Food

This tour was recommended by a neighbor who has done lots of NYC food tours. It was definitely the wonderful experience she said it would be. Bert was a terrific guide. He obviously loves the area, the food and his job. We totally enjoyed tooling around Chinatown, learning about the culture and eating the authentic and very tasty dishes served at our various stops.

I cannot say enough about the guide. He was very knowledgeable with the history, local customs/traditions and of course the food. The first two restaurants were great choices and the food was both exciting and fabulous. The third was not acceptable and another option should be chosen. The apothecary was interesting but the tea store was a waste of time.

We had a fabulous time getting to know the area of Chinatown. Our guide, Bert, was the best!! Dumplings were amazing and Bert's instructions on how they were made and how we should eat them added to his knowledge. Peking Duck to die for. Can't wait to sign up for our next adventure.

A new Yorker all my life . Went with some hesitation thinking I was a know-it-all about Chinatown and Food. Given to me as a gift ,the tour was a great surprise . Bert was a most personable and knowledgable guide. Restaurant choice and food excellent and varied. Learned numerous tid-bits of trivial and historical information about Chinatown. Enjoyed interacting with many other interesting and friendly members of our tour group. Highly Recommended. Five Stars and an egg roll to Bert !
