We arrived early and our guide, Bert, was there to meet us and gave us a quick rundown of what we would be doing before taking us up to our first tasting. When the group was assembled he gave us a description of the food on offer and would answer any questions we had and then it was on to the next stop. He set a nice relaxed pace which allowed plenty of time to chat with fellow diners. The restaurants were very good and the service was excellent. Bert was entertaining and knowledgeable about the food, the area and its history. At the end Bert made sure we all knew where we were going and gave directions if we were unsure. It was a wonderful way spend a few hours and will recommend to any of my friends visiting New York

Awesome Chinatown Tour!

My husband and I took the Chinatown tour, which was fabulous. I was full by the end of our 2nd stop! We had a really nice variety of food, and learned a lot about the restaurants that we went to. I highly recommend this tour. I would love it if the tour company would add a variation of the Chinatown tour that would go to some of the more exotic places in Chinatown. While I really enjoyed the places we stopped in, there are lots of small Chinatown shops that I would be to intimidated to go into on my own (you know, the kind of places that have things like duck legs hanging in the windows!). I would also love to see a food tour that would stop at a bunch of different ethnic places - such as afghan food, ethiopian food, vietnamese food, turkish food, etc. - rather than the fairly "average" places that the majority of the tours go to. Overall, the quality of the tour, and the food on the tour, and the tour guide, was fabulous and we really enjoyed it! We would just like to see more variety of ethnicities in the tour choices, for those of us who would like to try some new things.

My husband and I went on this tour on August 22nd ; this was our second time together in NYC and we decided we wanted to experience part of Manhattan using a guided tour . Turns out this was an excellent decision ! Our tour guide ( sorry , we can't remember his name ) was very knowledgeable and very friendly;he shortly made everyone in our group feel comfortable with each other !!! He showed us parts of Chinatown we would have NEVER found if exploring on our own; he was entertaining and could answer to any given question of our lively group !! The "meals" were excellent : two of the restaurants where we got to sit down are listed by the Michelin and Zagat Guides !!! The Pecking Duck was a gorgeous experience , that duck was to die for !! Also those dumplings we tasted at Dim Sun Go Go were delicious ! ( The only "course" I did not like that much was the "sweet roll" that we ate as dessert ... but the other people in our group enjoyed it - someone had a double "serving" ). I would HIGHLY recommend this food tour to everyone - even NY citizens !! and we would do this tour again in a heartbeat !!!

Our guide Bert, was beyond AWESOME...we had so much fun...Bert knew everything about every street, every shop and every restaurant we were taken to....nevermind the fact the guy is just Fun! At first we balked a little at the $65.00 price tag...we walked away saying we got sooooo much bang for our buck its not even funny. We were treated like we were family, laughed, ate, made new friends and had a blast. Bringing everybody we know on one of these tours!

Bert our tour guide was great. He was fun, enjoyable, and informative. My husband & I would have never figured out where to go to eat...I'm sure we would have missed Out on the remarkable food we ate . Next trip we definitely will put these restaurants on our "again" list. Thanks Bert, you did a GREAT job.

We had a great tour even though it was close to 100 degrees. Our guide made sure that we was inside in the AC as much as possible and still gave us a very good introduction to Chinatown. We had a very good and enthusiastic guide who knew what he was talking about. If we ever come back to New York we will go on another tour we the same company.
