Chinatown Food and Culture Walking Tour

Had a great time, food was great, guide was better than the food. If I ever get back to NY I will sign up for another.

Our tour guide was Bert, and he knew his stuff! His presentation was fun, the history was great and the food....oh, man, the food!! Come hungry for sure. (Or come hungover...we were, and it was the perfect cure!) Also, there were so many places on the list we couldn't visit (but learned about) so we already have a "to-do" (to eat?) list for our next trip to NYC. Bottom Line: Worth every penny. Doooo it!

The tour was excellent! Food was great and the many insights about the area were helpful and interesting It's a great way to see and experience the area. Tour guide was excellent and made the tour a very enjoyable 3 hours. Would highly recommend it.

We arrived early and our guide, Bert, was there to meet us and gave us a quick rundown of what we would be doing before taking us up to our first tasting. When the group was assembled he gave us a description of the food on offer and would answer any questions we had and then it was on to the next stop. He set a nice relaxed pace which allowed plenty of time to chat with fellow diners. The restaurants were very good and the service was excellent. Bert was entertaining and knowledgeable about the food, the area and its history. At the end Bert made sure we all knew where we were going and gave directions if we were unsure. It was a wonderful way spend a few hours and will recommend to any of my friends visiting New York

My husband and I took the Chinatown tour, which was fabulous. I was full by the end of our 2nd stop! We had a really nice variety of food, and learned a lot about the restaurants that we went to. I highly recommend this tour. I would love it if the tour company would add a variation of the Chinatown tour that would go to some of the more exotic places in Chinatown. While I really enjoyed the places we stopped in, there are lots of small Chinatown shops that I would be to intimidated to go into on my own (you know, the kind of places that have things like duck legs hanging in the windows!). I would also love to see a food tour that would stop at a bunch of different ethnic places - such as afghan food, ethiopian food, vietnamese food, turkish food, etc. - rather than the fairly "average" places that the majority of the tours go to. Overall, the quality of the tour, and the food on the tour, and the tour guide, was fabulous and we really enjoyed it! We would just like to see more variety of ethnicities in the tour choices, for those of us who would like to try some new things.

We did the Chinatown tour this past weekend. Our tour guide was Bert. He was a wealth of knowledge and my group of 8 loved him. We have down several other tours and we have always been very pleased with Food of New York tours.

The host was very informative and made the tour flow without being rushed. I recommend this tour to anyone and everyone. It was a great experience!

I love these tours! I have taken several and loved each one. A great way to learn the neighborhood, the food is spectacular, and the guides are knowledgeable and a great time!

This is the 2nd time I do a food tour with this company and it is very recommendable. The 2 guides knew a lot about what they were talking about and very friendly. If I go to NY again, I would do a tour again. VERY WORHT IT!
