As a native New Yorker this was the first food tour I've ever participated in - I will be signing up for all the others that Zerve has to offer!! Raheem was an excellent tour guide - knowledgeable, upbeat and friendly. Definitely show up hungry - the food is fabulous and there is alot of it !! Dim Sum Go Go is my new favorite restaurant :) |

I'v told all my friends, local and visitors, to take this tour. It was so informative, fun and delicious. It's great for both those new to the area and those of us who have had many a meal there. The tour guide was very enthusiastic about his job, loved what he was doing, gave great descriptions of how the food was made, told history of the neighborhood, all with a nice leasurly pace. We had the best scallion pancakes I've ever had. We plan to make return visits to the restaurants, their dim sum and duck were delicious. The restaurants were attractive, clean and had attentive service. You are not on your feet for 3 hours, you get to sit at 2 different restaurants and enjoy their cuisine.
It's a great way to get to know a part of New York City.
We also went on another one of the walking/eating tours and liked it so much we took this one too. Don't miss it. |

My friend and I went into the tour only expecting to get food, but we got so much out of it than that! Not only did we have a very wide variety and a good representation of the cuisine but we were "taught" how to eat the foods as well as learn about the food preparation and background on how the foods developed through the times. Every food we received was very high quality (because most of the foods we had before, so we were able to make a good comparison) and in vast quantities so there were more than enough for seconds and thirds if your stomach could handle it. We were also given a mini history tour of Chinatown, which was very interesting to learn about. Overall, it was a LOT of food, lots of information, and a really good time. We definitly recommend this tour, even if you're a native New Yorker! |

The only thing I would change - I would start with "walking" and then do the sit down parts as part of a "break" - overall though - I loved it. I thought it was GREAT and the leader had so much knowledge and such a presence - A+++++++++++++++ |

This is our second food tour. I wasn't expecting the same because I thought it would be hard to beat last year's tour guide. Burt was an excellent guide, he was knowledgeable, and made it fun! Highly recommended. |

Really enjoyed the tour, and especially Bert our tour guide. We have taken all of the NYC Food tours, and personally the China Town tour was my least favorite. Had nothing to do with our guide, he was great! I just personally don't care for chinese dumplings or peking duck (two of the main courses)....but that's just me. I would recommend any of the NYC Food Tours. Great cultural experiences and a great way to see more of the city and visit places I would never venture out on my own to do. |

My husband and myself were in NY for 6 days and I went on 8 tours in that time, the Chinatown tour was my favorite. Our tour guide, Bert was great. The tour had just the right mix of eating, walking and information about the area and the food we were tasting. I would enthusiastically recommend this tour with Bert of course he was the best!! |

Our Chinatown food & cultural tour was great for a number of reasons. Bert, our guide, was well informed & familiar with Chinatown, quite funny in a natural manner, and engaging. We were a group of 7 women in our family ranging in age from 30 - 68, and we all loved the tour. We have been on all of the Foods of New York tours, and this one was the same quality, if not better than some of the others. We enjoyed sitting down at the restaurants to eat, and seeing a side of Chinatown that we had never seen before. Well done & we would all highly recommend this tour! Sheri |
