Chinatown Food and Culture Walking Tour

This tour was fun... The wonderful weather we had made the walking part of the tour really enjoyable! I liked all the food that was served on this tour! It was a lot of fun and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to eat!

This is my fourth Foods of New York tour, and Raheem (our tour guide) is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable member of their team. His facts and figures about Chinatown were wide-ranging, and the foods we tasted with him were outstanding. I'm reasonably sure I wouldn't have found these places myself, and as I travel alone it would have been difficult to try so many different foods. I waddled away from this tour happy. Thanks Raheem and Foods of New York. I'm signing up for the Sushi experience the next time I'm in town.

Very well organized tour of Chinatown dining. Highly motivated tour leader full of stories related to Chinese cuisine, local history.

Chinatown has such an interesting history, and Raheem, our tour guide, was able to give us a definite flavor to the neightborhood. It is also really nice to taste all the different flavors, and to be able to learn how to distinguish fine cuisine!

We selected this tour from the internet - what a find! This was so informative and fun at the same time...and the food was terrific, especially the REAL Peking Duck.

Each time we take one of your tours, this was our third, we think "How can another, be as good?" And, each time we are rewarded with another wonderful experience. Our excellent and jovial guide, Raheim (sp?), offered up historical tidbits on this neighborhood's long immigrant past, and on the Chinese-Americans who now call this area "home", as he navigated us through winding streets in search of Chinese delicacies. Raheim's enthusiasm for the area's excellent food was not misplaced. All the establishments we visited offered DELICIOUS fare. The dim sum, Peking duck, roast pork were outstanding! We are already making plans to head back for dinner....our palate was has been thoroughly enthralled! And, Foods of NY? Well done, we will be back for yet another tour soon!

Very informative and lots of great food! We were very impressed with our tour guide's knowledge of the area. We will definitely go back to eat at some of the restaurants.

Unlike some of the other tours, there was a lot of "sit-down" time to enjoy the food. As usual, Raheem knew the culture of the neighborhood and enthusiastically shared his knowledge. I have taken four of your tours and have interest in one or two others but I hope they add more options. Afterall, NYC is a big place!

Exploring Chinatown on a summer's day with a food & cultural guide was a wonderful day well spent! Raheem, our tour guide was very well versed in Chinese culture & food, patient, kind and humorous. He knew the area intricately and was enthusiastic in relaying this information to the group. I recommend this tour - highly educational & entertaining. This is the 2nd neighborhood tour we have experienced with FoodTours in NYC and am looking forward to the next NY neighborhood. By the way, the food was excellent and plentiful!!!

Raheem, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He provided a delicious and highly informative glimpse into one of New York's most vital and fascinating neighborhoods.
