Amazing food and history

I just returned from the Chinatown walking tour and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food and learning about other cultures. Our tour guide Rahim was very enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable about chinese food, history and culture. He made sure everyone was enjoying themselves at every moment. The sit-down experiences were wonderful and the food was delicious and plentiful. Come hungry! Walking around Chinatown and tasting on the streets really gave you much insight into the best locations in the area that you wouldn't otherwise get from wandering around on your own. This tour was truly something to share with friends and family, a fun experience overall!

we enjoyed the tour very much; our guide, rashid, was a lot of fun and knowledgeable about the area and the food; the food was quite good, my husband loved the peking duck and was amazed that it would be offered on a tour; although i have been in chinatown many times, i was able to get to see restaurants and shops that are not in the mainstream and i will surely be back

More culture, less restaurant talk please

We enjoyed the walk, although we would have liked more history/culture information on Chinatown. The food was very good! We also thought that for people not daring enough to try Chinese food, this is a very good alternative to sample "safely" and with guidance and then maybe try more for themselves. On the whole, it was quite enjoyable and the guide was very nice and likeable!

The tour was a great way to see chinatown and to get amazing food we would never have found by ourselves. The guide was excellent and was sharing his knowledge in a personal way. We had a lot of fun and couldn´t eat any more food for the rest of the day. We recommend you all to take this tour, and that you eat a very small breakfast before, if any.

We went on the Chinatown walking/eating with Raheem. The food was fantastic, and our guide provided us with lots of information about what we were eating as well as an interesting overview of Chinatown. He was obviously well-informed and excited about his topic as well as friendly and pleasant. We had a great time; this is our second tour, and we will definitely do another tour the next time we are in NYC.

I was a little reluctant to use my visa to book this tour, but I am very glad we did. Very informative and I wish we had time for another of the tours. I would have loved the Saturday night Sushi tour as well. Not much walking at all and no uphill climbs to worry about.

My husband and I absolutely loved this tour. We're British tourists, and this served as an introduction to NYC's China Town as much as a culimary voyage of discovery. The guide (Rahim) was excellent - very knowledgeable and friendly: he really made the whole experience, dropping in little tips and stories. Not only did we sample some amazing food (including what my husband has dubbed 'The Best Dim Sum on Earth' - and this from a man who's visited China...), but we got to see locals playing Chinese Chess in the park and see a bolt-hole that was used by Chinese gang members back in the day. I would thoroughly recommend the tour - we did it to celebrate my husband's 30th birthday, but we'll definitely be going on one of the company's other foodie tours next time we're in town.

As good as we had hoped...

My husband and I have taken all the Food Tours presently offered and we'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite. This tour measured right up to the others and, Raheem, as usual, was an informed and enthusiastic guide. Chinatown can be a challenging, somewhat impenetrable neighbourhood to visit and this tour was an excellent introduction. I'd strongly recommend it for both locals and visitors. And they were right - come hungry.
