Raheem was knowledgable, engaging and funny! My parents and I only wish we had done a Foods of NY Tour every time they visited over the past 6 years. Now I'm moving to LA! |

This was my second Foods of New York Tour and it met the high expectations I has as a result of my very enjoyable first tour. I was completely satisfied. Rahim was very enthusiastic, welcoming, outgoing, informative and fun. I ate well and learned a lot about the food we enjoyed, the restaurants in which it was served, and the surrounding neighborhood. This was all infused with insights only a local New Yorker can provide. I would easily participate in a third tour the next time I'm in NYC. I highly recommend this company. |

I really like the experience, actually I would love to have more walking. Dont get me wrong, more walking to burn calories as fast as possible. Really, the food was very, very good, portions satisfying and restaurant selections were really nice. I particulary enjoy the Pecking Duck House @ 28 Mott St. And the final dessert a "Tiger' something roll, was splendid! |

My husband and I enjoyed this tour a lot. (But not as much as the Central Village/SOHO tour by the same company and tour guide.) This tour was a great way to learn about and experience the neighborhood for outsiders like ourselves. I was a little apprehensive about the things we would taste on the tour because I knew traditional Chinese food involves some ingredients that are a bit more exotic than I'm normally willing to try. For instance, I can't bring myself to try eel, squid, or octopus. But that was not an issue at all. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all of the dishes. So much so that I had confidence that I would enjoy everything he had selected for us to sample. The food that we sampled was mostly new to me, but I enjoyed it all. I was pushed just enough out of my comfort zone that I felt like I got an authentic experience, without being grossed out. |

Our very knowledgeable, friendly, and pleasant guide escorted us to several high quality establishments in Chinatown, all the while explaining the history and culture of the area. The restaurants that we visited provided outstanding quality food, dim-sum, Peking Duck, and other ethnic menu items. It appeared that our guide had personally eaten at these restaurants and that they were selected for our visit because of the quality of the food and attentiveness of the staff. We had ample food to eat and drink, including dessert, and it was doubtful that anyone on the walking tour went away hungry or unsatisfied. We loved it and highly recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to learn more about Chinese culture in NYC and Chinese food in particular. As an aside, the recommended parking facility (Champion Parking) which was just a block or two from the meeting place, had an early bird special on Saturday before 10:30am and we parked all day until 5pm for $17.00 which included tax. A great day all around! |

I went on this tour last week (early May) with my boyfriend, and we had a wonderful time. The dim sum was our favorite part, and we had some extra time at the end of the tour to visit some of the other recommended restaurants. I highly recommend these tours. It was nice to keep the group size small (less than 20), and the guide was dynamic and interesting. Great sense of humor & very knowledgeable! |

Our tour with Raheem was one of the highlights of our trip. This was our fourth tour with this company, and I think they are best food tour ever. We learned so much about the Chinatown history and area in addtion to tasting some really delicious food. We loved the Peking Duck and the Tiger Roll. Highly recommended. |
