Chinatown Food and Culture Walking Tour

Raheem was excellent. A thorough job of covering history of the area. The best tour I have taken in a long time. I have traveled to China many times, and this tour was amazing to tie old and new country together. Very talented tour guide. Was able to adjust as needed when restaurants weren't ready or crowds were a problem, with sensititvity to the locals as well as awareness of his group.

We had a fabulous time getting to know the area of Chinatown. Our guide, Bert, was the best!! Dumplings were amazing and Bert's instructions on how they were made and how we should eat them added to his knowledge. Peking Duck to die for. Can't wait to sign up for our next adventure.

This was my 2nd tour with this company. I had such a great time on one of the Greenwich Village tours, That I wanted to do another one. I was not disappointed. Our tour guide, Bert (AKA Eric) struck just the right note: Funny, knowledgeable, relaxed, but not too relaxed. I loved the combo of info about the food and the history of the neighborhood we were in. Most of the folks in my group were return customers, and many were native New Yorkers. I think that says it all.

OUR LEADER, RAHEEN MADE THE TOUR EDUCATIONAL AND FUN. HE WAS PATIENT AND ANSWERED ALL AND ANY QUESTIONS. A REAL GENTLEMAN AS WELL. WE HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF CHINESE FOODS FROM DIM SUM TO PEKING DUCK AND PLACES TO RE-VISIT. OUR GROUP OF FOUR RETIRED TEACHERS RAVED ABOUT OUR DAY TRIP. WE HAVE DONE OTHER ZERVE TOURS AND WE RECOMMEND THEM TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY. WE GIVE IT 5 STARS

we took the tour to be introduced to chinatown. it did that very well. the food was great and the route well chosen. the guide did a fine job of describing the history and culture of the food and area. all in all, just what we were looking for. we will recommend it to anyone as it was recommended to us.

Like many New York families, we tend to stick to our neighborhood and the things that are familiar to us. The Chinatown Food Walking Tour gave us a fun way to introduce our son to the sights, sounds and tastes of Chinatown, which he'd always been curious about. It also has given us the comfort to start making Chinatown's wonderful restaurants and shops a regular part of our lives. Our guide was Raheem was energetic and informative and the food, in the words of our ten year old, was "delicious," especially the "excellent" Peking Duck.

We really enjoyed the tour. Raheem was very knowledgable about the area, the history and very descriptive in the food as we ate it so it was a learning experience and not just eating great food. Can't wait until in NYC again to try another tour.

The host was very informative and made the tour flow without being rushed. I recommend this tour to anyone and everyone. It was a great experience!

From Pittsburgh visiting my daughter in Brooklyn, and this was the second food/cultural tour we have attended. Tour guide was terrific, so full of facts, and so knowledgeable about Chinatown. The tastings were sit down and all delicious. Very nice restaurants. Staff at each went out of their way to provide a memorable experience. We will definitely try another.
