Chinatown Food and Culture Walking Tour

While I don't usually bother to contribute reviews, this tour was exceptionally worthwhile. The food was very good and of sufficient quantity, Raheem's commentary entertaining and informative, the walking was easy, and the seated dining was comfortable.

we took the tour to be introduced to chinatown. it did that very well. the food was great and the route well chosen. the guide did a fine job of describing the history and culture of the food and area. all in all, just what we were looking for. we will recommend it to anyone as it was recommended to us.

Raheem knows the cuisine and the providers and it shows. There was more food tasting than on any other we have done and a really great explanation of each tasting. Dim Sum Go Go was so great we went back on our own three days later to sample more. We can not recommend this hghly enough.

Raheem is a fantastic guide! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Chinatown, it's a must do when you are in New York.

The tour was informative, the guide delightful, and the food tastings were wonderful. Enough indoor time to make it enjoyable even on a Monday in January.

Bought this tour as a Christmas gift for my dad. We both thought it was great. Our guide was very knowledgeable, professional, and entertaining. All the food samples were delicious. This was my third tour with Foods of NY and I've thought they were all well worth it.

My wife and I had a fantastic time on our China Town Tour. We had three wonderful dining experiences tasting gourmet Chineese cuisine ranging from Peking Duck, to Dim SUM to a delicious and unique eggplant dish. We had an extremely knowledgeable, courteous and helpful tour guide, Rahim, who enhanced our experience by showing the group NYC's best shops and eateries in China Town. We had a good mix of people on our tour group including a family with children, couples and singles. Some were locals, some were from other areas of the U.S. and some made the trip from other parts of the globe. The group was not too big or small and no one got separated. My wife and I have many fond memories of this day trip and look forward to attending another NYC food tour in the future. Michael and Elena Nussbaum

My sister and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Raheem is a great guide. Not only did we have some good food and learn about the restaruants we also learned some of the history of the area and the culture. Next time I am in New York I will take another tour from this company and this guide.

This was the best food/culture walking tour of NYC we have yet experienced.( We've taken such tours of Greenwich Village, Chelsea and Brooklyn. The food on this tour was more interesting, varied, more tasty and more filling by far than the others. The guide's description of the history and culture of the waves of immigrants who have settled in what is now called "Chinatown" was informed, interesting and plausible(I hold a PhD in history.)
