Having been on about 5 food tours and having repeated several, I feel qualified to comment! Our guide was great - no issues there. The three in my group all agreed that the food samples, while good enough, were all dough/bread-based or heavy. There were two sandwiches+ethnic dough-based (name?)+pizza+falafel+dessert + others (I can't remember). While most were tasty, the sampling was just too heavy. BEST = grilled cheese sandwich; not-so-terrific = pizza tasted like cardboard (towards end of tour). More thought should be given to the types of samples - that's not easy, I know, but your clients should be able to expect variety. Nevertheless, I remain a fan and, in fact, am signed-up for the newest tour next week :) Soon ~ rayne dessayer

Rahim was a wonderful tour guide! Full of personality and a wealth of information about the area. Walking into Washington square a bum decided to involve himself in the conversation and our guide handled it beautifully! He was so energetic and could really tell he enjoyed his job! Would highly recommend this tour! Will definitely go back to the area for shopping and restaurants! Thanks again Rahim for a wonderful tour from the girls from Mississippi!

This tour visited about 30 places of interest. Our tour guide did a very good job and was able to answer all questions. The food tasting was at the peak of perfection . Some of the establishments we visited could not be seen on your own. A lot of history is here for any age group.

Two 15-year olds (our son and his friend) accompanied me and my husband....This turned out to be brilliant as there were many delicious discoveries and sometimes we felt the need to both savor and save room (the boys could finish anything we couldn't.) I think my favorite part of the tour was learning about a hidden-away, authentic "Little Italy" (better than the part of the city that's officially known that way. ) We also got to walk through Washington Square Park on a beautiful day--saw a sunbathing older woman with two cockatoos tethered to her, along with bikini-wearing students and acrobats etc. We are local but felt like tourists and loved it. I happened to be in the city the next day, too, so went back to one of the sit-down restaurants our guide brought us to. it was super-crowded and after a bit we realized that, as we had to get to a show, we weren't going to have time to order and eat. Sadly, I was back to being a regular diner, no longer a food-tour VIP! I'll have to go back when I have more time. Also, I loved that our guide surprised us with a candle for our son's birthday (which she put in a tart at our final stop.) This was typical of the thoughtful touches throughout--making for a really enjoyable adventure.

My family and I took the tour of Central Village and SoHo. We had a great tour guide,Barri, who not only showed us the food highlights, showed and talked about the history of the Village and SoHo. The food stops along the tour was fantastic. The highlight of the tour was Cuban restaurant and the Bakery. I am looking forward to taking my next tour. Thank you Barri for a wonderful tour.

It was a really enjoyable afternoon. The food was delicious and the tour guide (susan) really made it for us. She was friendly, local, knowledgable, and approachable. The tour really gave context to our visit in the city and made us realise what we were looking at and how it has changed over the years. Perfect amount of food for me. My least favourite place was actually Monte's which is where we started the tour and where we had spaghett bolognese - bit too salty for my taste and the environment felt dark, empty and lifeless. I would have liked to go inside more places than stand out on the pavement but I realise that it's not always practical. My favourite place was probably the Cuban place because I was introduced to foods that I hadn't tried before. Also the Indian wrap shop, for a similar reason. Would have been good to have a spicy sauce to go with it if we wanted a more fiery experience. Thanks Susan! Memorable and recommendable!

This was my 5th time to NYC and my 5th time to go on one of the NYC Tasting Tours! This is something my Mom and I so enjoy looking forward to and doing every year when we are in NYC. You don't only get to go to several spots and taste food, but you also get a great history lesson of the area you are in. Lots of fun!

We had the BEST time with Barri, tasting, laughing, walking, learning. We would highly recommend this tour if you want to meet fun people, sample LOTS of great food, and just have FUN being a part of the neighborhood for a few hours. Come HUNGRY and plan on skipping dinner that day.

Misnomer on the tour

We truly enjoyed the tour although were disappointed there was only one stop in Soho. The food was delicious but the mojito was a little overpriced. Weather was great. There are so many restaurants to enjoy and we did go back to Masala Times. Raheem was knowledgable and we truly enjoyed him. All in all a good experience.
