The tour was fine, it lasted a little too long perhaps because of the long trip round Washingon Square. The food was fine but could be more interesting. The first dish at the Indian restaurant was great but it was downhill from there (we left before the last too restaurants as we had another appointment. It was nearly four PM at the time). I would recommend this tour to friend. |

It was a fun tour and our guide (Raheem) was awesome. He was really funny and he was a dynamic and interesting speaker. He really seemed to enjoy what he was doing. I did the Greenwich Village tour a few years ago and that one had better food, but this was still enjoyable. If I repeated one though, it would be the Greenwich Village tour, not Soho. |

Super. Yes, we did have great tastings at conspicuous places but the uniqueness of this tour is the discovery of small "hole in the wall" eateries that were great surprises! |

Our guide was a young man by the name of Raheem. Raheem, having attended nearby NYU, shared many of his experiences in the village from a personal perspective that genuinely enhanced his knowledge of the area. Not only was his knowledge of food and beverage exceptional, but his knowledge of the area's history and cultural nuances was also exceptional. His interest in his subject material was one of genuine interest which connected well with everyone on tour contributing to the group harmony. My wife and i were spending the week in NYC which had many diverse activities. At the conclusion of this afternoon, we felt the experience was well worth it and we highly recommend this tour, particularly with Raheem as the guide. |

We both found this tour to be an excellent tour, saw so much and the tasting of the food was wonderful. It was all explained so well and we had a wonderful tour guide. This tour is highly recommended. |

Susan, our guide, was excellent. Providing tidbits of history and offering her passion for the food, history and area.
This was a great alternative to museums, theater and shopping. I will sign up to do the other tours when in NYC again. |

Having been to the Village on my previous trips to New York I never really spent as much time as I did this time and we enjoyed it so much that we ended up staying there till 11pm. The tour was interesting, the guide was very pleasant, the food was great (although I think an extra stop or two would not have been bad) |

Enjoyed it, not sure I would recommend it. |

My husband and I really enjoyed the food portion of the tour, but felt that the tour tried a bit too hard to be all things to all people. Specifically, we didn't particularly feel the need to know about the different types of architecture or to walk around Washington Square Park- we were more interested in the next tasting. However, as we are frequent daytrippers to the Village, this complaint may not be a general one.
The food portion of the tour was great- we loved learning about the restaurants, specifically the Indian Bread Co. & Montes.
So, in short, we would have preferred a 2.5hr tour that didn't talk as much about general history as opposed to the 3.5hr tour that did. |

We thoroughly enjoyed Susan and her tour of Greenwich and SoHo. Her information on the history and flavor of these neighborhoods was interesting and really captured the essence of these areas. We really enjoyed the food tastings and ended up going back to Monte's for dinner a few nights later for a fabulous meal. Our visit to Manhattan was really enhanced by adding this tour to our itinerary and getting away from the "usual" tourists places to see.
When we return to NYC, we will definitely try another Food Tour! |
