We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and wholeheartedly recommend it to one and all. It has only been two days since our tour and I have already spoken to many friends and co-workers about it and am looking forward to a future tour. Our host was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about New York, its history and many wonderful foods available during the tour. He was the perfect person for the job, very attentive to his group. The amount of food was OK ... but I was still hungry at the end. We immediately went back to several of the eateries in our tour package. (The Pumpkin Raviolis with Genovese sauce with walnuts is out of this world!) Definitely worth the price!

We did foodsofny's other Greenwich Village tour in March and decided to get a hotel in Greenwich just because of that... This tour didn't disappoint. Greenwich isn't that big but the other tour and this one don't cross paths at all. We'll need to visit Greenwich for several weeks just to exhaust the list of amazing restaurants they gave us. The tour guides are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The food is great. And it's enough to be lunch... definitely show up with an empty stomach. The best part is the little booklet they give you for later. You can focus on what the guide is saying and know that you'll have all the addresses/details of the restaurants he mentions (and you taste). After both tours we booked dinner at one of the restaurants on the tour (after a few hours in a pub to give our stomachs a break). I'd recommend doing the same.

Tour lacked any real interesting point. The history of SOHO and the area was to me unimportant and to lengthy. The food varied from interesting to bland and undesirable (Peanut butter and Pineapple on white bread). With many other things to do in NYC I would skip this activity.

The cultural and food tour of the central Village and SOHO was very enjoyable - for all of the members of our family. I would recommend this tour to others interested in the history of this part of NYC and "snacking" along the way. Susan - our tour guide - was knowledgable and was very sincere in sharing her love for the area and related extremely well to the individuals in the tour group. Thank you for a wonderful tour.

This was my favorite part of my visit to New York. Amazing histoy and great food. Not too much walking (more standing around than walking). Great for any person.

This was our second tour; we did the Central Village tour last Thanksgiving it was with Cindy and it was fantastic). Our guide (Rahim..sp??) was wonderfully enthusiastic and humorous, BUT, he kept callings the group "guys" WAY too many times, as in "OK, guys, let's go here" or "Hey, guys, this is a really great place....". Also, we had two run-ins with neighbors. They were silly/stupid/inappropriate locals, BUT, it appeared to us that Rahim was too confrontational with them. It felt awkward. Also, some of his neighborhood facts/comments were not correct. I'm by no means an NYC expert, but he'd say things that I knew simply were not true from a common sense standpoint. For instance, he told us that St. Anthony's Church (1860's) was the oldest parish in NYC. That's not true...it's the oldest parish in NYC specifically serving the Italian community.....the plaque says so. Lastly, it just felt that much of his recommendations were advertising for places along the route rather than discussions on food diversity and availability. It's hard to describe what made it seem that way, but it just did! Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed it and will do another one of your food tours on our next visit.

The best food tour so far!

This is the third food tour I have taken with this company and it is definately the best. The others were great, but this one had better food selection, more variety and larger portions than previous tours. It had more history of interest to my age group presented in an enthusiastic way by our tour guide. We both thoroughly enoyed ourselves.
