I've taken all the tours offered by Foods of New York and they have all been very entertaining, along with excellent food. I only hope that they continue to develop additional tours, possibly in other areas such as Brooklyn. The guides provide great commentary and history. Highly recommend!!

I gave this Tour as a wedding gift since the couple were going to honeymoon in NY. A few minutes after the tour the happy couple texted me to tell me that it had been the highlight of their trip and were sad it had ended. They said the tour guide was very nice and upbeat and that he was very knowledgeable and fun. My couple couldnt have been happier with this gift and the pricing was amazing!!!!

This was our second Food Tasting Tour and it was fabulous. The company was pleasant, the guide was a ball of energy and so full of interesting tidbits about the area, and the food was GREAT! We hardly noticed what a cold day it was with all that delicious warm food!

We did this tour as a family (parents and 20 somethings). I think at any age this was an enjoyable food tour. Learned alot from the tour guide who was very knowledgeable not only about food but New York in General. This was our third tour and we look forward to this as an annual Thanksgiving event.

The tour of the Village and SOHO was awesome! The food selection was varied and oh so delicious! Our tour guide, Raheem was so knowledgeable of the area, he really made the tour interesting with all of the tidbits of info. He was so into his work and life as a New Yorker, his enthusiasm was contagious! I cannot wait to return to NYC and book my next Foods of NY tour- it was so much more than I expected!

Tour was fun, but could use a little improvement

I have done walking tours before and this particular tour left me a little disappointed. While we all still enjoyed ourselves, the area we explored was very small. The information was not as interesting as other tours, for example, the Greenwich Village tour, but that may be because of the area we chose. The other downfall was the food that was tasted. We started out with a great deli sandwich, immediately followed by a wonderful Indian wrap at Masala. The next stop involved pasta (mediocre) and bread, the next stop empanadas, so WAY TOO MANY CARBS. Bread, bread, bread, starch. We did have a soup toward the end but everyone was so full that it was hard to enjoy. A variety of food types would have been better. We circled around maybe 3 blocks, so not much area was covered. We also did "sit-downs" in two restaurants. The Cuban place was the better of the two, and only one sit-down was necessary...kind of seemed like a time filler. Tour guide was very pleasant.
