| The guide was informative both of the history of the surrounding area and the attractions. He kept us moving at a steady but not to fast pace. The food was great and we discovered a lot of new restuarants and shops to visit in the future. Many of my co-workers and friends were surprised and the reasonable cost and the small group. I came back with rave reviews of the experience and will definitely try the other tours! |

| This is the 2nd time I have been on one of these tours, last time it was the Greenwich Village tour, and it is worth every penny. I recommend you doing the tour at the beginning of your trip so that you know some great places to go, which days are the best, know about prices, and reservations if necessary. The tour guide, Barry, was very friendly and knowledgeable. You get a good amount of food and historical information about each location and the city as well. I highly recommend this tour, it was a lot of fun. |

| While I throughly enjoyed this tour, I would have liked to have spent more time learning more about the food and culinary aspects of the Village. The cultural information was very useful, but I'd have preferred to have stopped at more cafes, restaurants and eateries.
Overall an excellent tour. We look forward to coming back to try another one like it. |

| We loved our guide, Raheen, who was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about our tour of Greenwich and Soho.
The food we tasted was interesting and varied - from Indian to Middle Eastern, amazing cheeses and a terrific pasta shop. We have passed on the tour details to friends who live in New York and recommend they take part - they will learn a lot of about the village, its history, architecture and the people (famous or infamous) who have lived there.
The list we were given was helpful, with full description and address, phone numbers etc - we later went back and had dinner at one of the restaurants (twice) and a drink at one of the small cafes.
A great start to our stay in New York

| This is the third tour we've done with Food Tours of New York and it, like the other two, is a truly great way to become acquainted with a neighbourhood in New York. Bari, our guide, was well informed and well organized. She handled the stresses of a very hot day in New York with aplomb. We loved the food and found that the variety and the quantity was just right. It's wonderful to know that small businesses, like those we were introduced to, still exist in the city. May they always do. |

| What a neat tour. I was looking for a tour that was not your typical sit on a bus or boat and listen to boring comments. I love that this tour is interactive, that you can really experience the local cuisine and see the sights up close and in person. The food selections were great. They were well thought out and really anyone-finiky eaters included- could eat what was provided. Of course it would have been wonderful to stop at some of the other restaurants that our guide pointed out, but I understand time is an issue. I am really looking forward to coming back with my friends and husband to NYC to take your other tours and I am definatly telling anyone I know what a great option this is. |

| My friend and I did this tour together. I have lived in Manhattan for about 15 months and she was visiting from Texas. We both loved this tour. I saw a lot of things I'd seen before, but learned new things about them. I also saw a lot of things I'd never noticed or seen. I loved all the recommendations of different restaurants on McDougal Street and cannot wait to go back and try them out! Our guide, Raheem, was excellent - energetic, fun, interesting, etc... I definitely plan to go on more of your tours in the future! |

| Our guide(s) were well informed. They were not unfriendly, but could have been friendlier, such as inquiring about where participants were from and generally seeming more interested in them. Also, when planning August walks, stop at larger businesses so participants can go in to get the food, rather than having the guide(s) go in to get it. It was extremely hot the day of our walk and we did not get out of the heat nearly enough. We had some good sandwich-type foodsl, but the rest was mediocre. Our guide was overheard complaining to her trainee about people lagging behind etc. If I had heard that, she would not have gotten a tip. I know each walk is different with other guides and different food, so I will keep an open mind. I am going on another walk in a couple weeks. |
