I can't recommend this tour enough. The food was great, and there was a lot of it, and Diana the tour guide was a fountain of information. It was well paced, with a nice balance of eating and walking time.

The tour guide was passionate and knowledgable and funny! The food was AMAZING! And getting to know the history of the neighborhood was compelling! I am a huge fan of these food walking tours. I have done them all but the China town, it's on my list the next time I come!

Foods of NY tours are wonderful if you really want to get an in-depth look and taste for a particular area of the city. Much better experience than sitting on a coach and just looking at things as you pass them by. The group sizes definitely need to be kept small to keep with the quaintness of some of the establishments and even the areas. The last thing you want to do is make it feel too touristy. We had 16 ppl + myself and that should be the absolute maximum. Anything more would not be manageable and alter the experience. I've done this tour and the original Greenwich Village one and loved both!

This is one of the best experiences you can get in New York, the information and history is a bonus to the fabulous food sampling. I did a tour 2 years ago and loved it and I think this one actually has more food. Go for the cheesecake alone, it is divine. The guide was good and if you happen to get Cindy, she is absolutely outstanding. Its a compact wonderful insight into thsi area, its history and some great restaurant tips. I have sent many friends already. Book it, fantastic value!

This is a must to do if you are in New York. Lots of "local" information and great food. Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining, lots of fun. It gives you a good feel for NY community in the 'burbs'.

Susan was such an informative tour guide in regards to both the food and the neighborhood. The tour was a great pace and so interesting. Thanks for a great time. My only suggestion would be to add more tours, especially catering to ethnic foods.

Greenwich Village /Soho Food Tour was Fabulous

I have recently attended the Central Village and Soho Food Tour. I had already attended the original Greenwich Village tour two years previous and thought that was well done. The Greenwich Village/ Soho Food Tour is even BETTER.. We sampled a larger spectrum of diverse foods which included a spicy vegetarian Indian wrap , an Italian pasta bolognese (they make their own pasta even), empanadas and yucca ( similar to a potato)at a Cuban restaurant which is the best I have ever had, Italian pepper sausage from an Italian butcher ( I went back and actually bought some to take home), a tasty zuchinni parmesian pizza (fantastic crust), and a poached pear /hazelnut chocolate dessert tart( the grand finale well worth waiting for). Our guide, Susan, was very knowledgeable providing us with a bit of history and fun facts about the area. It was a great opportunity to experience foods that I would never have thought of trying. I would definitely take this tour again the next time I go back to New York.

Living in Las Vegas and going to New York for the first time. I looked up things to do when I got there. Found your web site and decided to book your tour. So glad I did. It was wonderful. Our guide was outstanding, and so informatiive. The food, of course was fabulous! It was truly, the highlight of my trip. For any one who loves history and great food. This is definately the tour to take. Only wish I lived closer so I could take advantage of all the other tours.
