Central Village/SoHo Food & Culture Tour

This was my first visit to Central Village/SoHo and I was impressed with our walking tour guide who highlighted the best of Central Village/SoHo in a short amount of time. The wide variety of food tasting was great and the history behind this small part of Manhattan was very educational. I can't wait to return to the village to try these fabulous restaurants. My only advice is to wear good walking shoes and come hungry.

Well, the fun began before the tour even began when the owner of the Cafe came out and informed us it was easier/warmer to sit inside his place then stand outside on the sidewalk.! From then on, it was walking, eating, talking, eating, learning, eating, laughing, eating! And then we ate some more. Certain things I NEVER thought I would like I LOVED, certain foods I had heard about or seen but never had the opportunity to try rocked my world! We even had a lady in line at the pasta store complain we were cutting in line, (we weren't) , and then STOP and listen to everything our guide said, HOLDING UP THE LINE! You should have charged her admisson. GREAT way to spend the day. Now i am off to the gym.............

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour of the village and soho. The food was delicious, and our guide was fun and very knowledgable. I enjoyed the smaller group of people on the tour (8), compared with the 16 people on a previous tour. Overall, excellent! I would definitely recommend to a friend, and I hope to partake in others in the future.

It was my first time to NYC, and a friend of mine strongly encouraged me to book a food tasting tour. I am seriously glad that I did! Not only did we have some truly fantastic food, the tour group was small (less than 15 people), the tour guide, Susan Volchock, was fantastic, and I was introduced to a truly charming part of Manhattan in Central Village and SoHo, which I probably wouldn't have even ventured to if it weren't for the tour. Don't be worried that you won't get enough food. I found myself turning down leftovers, and I have a phobia of not getting enough food in restaurants. Plus, the tour was far more than just food tasting. Susan gave us a tour of the area that included quaint streets, cultural stops, pop culture references, amazing architecture, and a great walk through Washington Square Park. Did I mention that the food is fantastic? I can't wait to go back and take my wife with me to eat in some of the many restaurants in the area AND take another food tasting tour of a new part of the city. Thanks for a great experience and value! I would highly recommend this tour, and encourage you to book it in advance.

This was my 5th time to NYC and my 5th time to go on one of the NYC Tasting Tours! This is something my Mom and I so enjoy looking forward to and doing every year when we are in NYC. You don't only get to go to several spots and taste food, but you also get a great history lesson of the area you are in. Lots of fun!

Very good tour. Raheem was very energetic and knowledgeable. Foods provided a good sample--the Indian taste was especially memorable. Good balance of commercial marketing/local information. Would recommend this tour to friends visiting NYC.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Central Village/SoHo Food and Culture Tour. It was a perfect fall afternoon. The sights and the vibe in this part of the city are great. I love that it is such an ethically diverse area. I tasted so many delicious foods that I have never even heard of. The tour guide was very informed. I would definitely recommend this tour.
