activity photo

Sample tasty treats from ethnic, old-school eateries in two distinct areas - one colorful and exciting, the other surprisingly quaint.

Enjoyed the commentary, the company and, of course, the food. Would book another tour if I ever make it to New York again.

Our tour guide Rahim was amazing and very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I learned so many things about the village and soho that I never knew before and I"m a local! He was so amazing in his ability to recount funny stories, tibits and anecdotes about his experiences in the village as well! I loved the places we visited and I will definitely recommend this tour to everyoone and him as he made the experience so wonderful. It was nice that this was not only a food tour but a cultural/architecture slant with it as well.

The tour was very interesting and informative. The food tasting was a great variety that proves how nyc is so rich with culture from different worlds. I've lived in NY for most of my life yet would probably not have tried, ventured into or even notice many of the places that we stopped at on the tour. I highly recommend this tour and look forward to taking one of the other tours that are being offered.

The tour was not only informative, but fun! I can't wait to go back to the area to try some of the dining suggestions. My 15 year old daughter and 13 year old friend did NOT want to go on the tour but admitted later they would go on another one. They also liked the choice of samples! Raheem was full of information and suggestions, he also had a nice edge to his comments so it did not seem like a "guided" tour. After the tour we went back to 3 of the small stores for snacks and purchases to take home. I cannot think of a negative regarding the tour.

I took this tour 2 years ago and had such a wonderful time with my family that I came back. The tour has a great balance between walking tour and food sampling. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the food choices.

This is the second time we've done this tour. No matter how many times you've visited NYC, in this tour you will learn so many new things about it! The tour is fun, well organized, and the food is great! The tour guide really knew everything about the neighborhood we were visiting.

I received a pair of tickets to this food tour as a gift from someone who had already taken it, and thought I would enjoy it (I did). The guide was fantastic, funny and knowledgeable. It was nice to learn of some new restaurants that I would never have come across on my own, and fun to meet the owners, and sample their foods. The vegetarian in our group was given something special to eat in each spot. The walking is minimal, all the restaurants we visited were within a few blocks of each other, so most people would have no difficulty.

Best 3hrs of our day!

My cousin came with me to take my son to college but we had a day to kill before departing NYC to drop him off at school. Susan, our guide, was awesome! Very aware of the overall history of the village and it's eateries. Very filling so leave plently of room to eat! Definitely get a mojito or sangria at the cuban place-this is the only item that will cost you xtra ($10) on the tour. Tip at the end too! You end up bonding w everyone on the tour, so much fun!
