A great way to learn where the locals go for the best food and sample a bit here and there. Little restaurants that you might otherwise miss or pass up and great food shops plus some history about the area. We loved every minute of the tour and meeting the others in our group. Wish the others had dressed warmer for the weather. It was hard watching them shiver in the cold while we were comfortable during the times we stood around outside listening to our guide Diana's stories. Diana was lots of fun with an awesome story of her own family history and she gave a great printed list so we were able to make notes for future reference.

Every tour I have taken has been wonderful. Really enjoyed Central Village with Raheem! Want to do China Town, just have to be in town on a Monday. I have recommended these tours to many of my frineds and all have enjoyed them. Keep up the good work and add more so i may enjoy more!

Upon the recommendation of a friend, I booked the Greenwich Village/Soho tour for my husband and myself for our first day in New York. It's been 30 years since I visited New York, and we had just 3 days to feel the rhythm of the city. Our tour was terrifuc, owing to the knowledge and enthusiasm of our guide. (I believe his name is Rahim, a charming young man.) His knowledge of the neighborhoods, his appreciation of the history, and his love of the food made our visit to the area such a pleasure. Thank you for treating us tourists to such a pleasurable experience.

Our tour guide, Raheem, was a fountain in information. He knew about not only the food but the history of the area. That was an added delight and very informative. Also, everything we tried was delish!

Susan was a terrific host; she possessed great knowledge of the area and was enthusiastic about all the foods and the sites we visited. The pace and the length of the tour was just right. I would do another food tour in a New York minute.

We thoroughly enjoyed the your. I had done other food tours but this one was my husband's first. We appreciated the information about the neighborhood and its architecture as well as the food.

| We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The idea of pairing food tasting with a history of the area is innovative. Handouts are useful. A route map of the tour area with venues numbered, and included in the handout would have made returning to them easier.
The Cuban, Italian and Indian foods were marvellous. The middle eastern place fobbed us off with non perishable sweets, instead of something fresh and interesting. Not that the halvah wasn't good, it just didn't require any immediate effort.
I think we would have enjoyed a few more items of exotic food to taste, and more opportunity to sit down and taste the food. 3 hours can get very wearing on the feet. Also it is more interesting to go inside the restaurant rather than hang about outside it. At points, we got the impression that participating businesses weren't very interested in the venture. We are not likely to go back to places who are not interested in their potential customers.
But on the whole, it was a great experience, and a fun way to discover a part of NYC. |

The food was exceptional. The guide was very personable and informative. This is our second food tour in two different NYC locations, and I would recommend them both. I will also do others.

Foods of NY tours are wonderful if you really want to get an in-depth look and taste for a particular area of the city. Much better experience than sitting on a coach and just looking at things as you pass them by. The group sizes definitely need to be kept small to keep with the quaintness of some of the establishments and even the areas. The last thing you want to do is make it feel too touristy. We had 16 ppl + myself and that should be the absolute maximum. Anything more would not be manageable and alter the experience. I've done this tour and the original Greenwich Village one and loved both!

As cold as it was, the tour guide kept checking if we were too cold and we had most of the tours inside as it got colder into the afternoon. The tour guide knew her stuff about the area and I learnt alot about the area as well as the good places to eat. Very well done!
