My friends and I were rather impressed with the tour. The guide was friendly, the group was small, and food and history delicious. |

Can you imagine spending a 4-day weekend in New York City with 6 of your favourite people? And to add to the fun, spending 3 hours with a great tour guide called Raheem! This was truly an enjoyable experience, sampling different ethnic foods while learning about the history and culture of 2 distinct areas of the city.
I especially liked the Indian food and the Jamaican patties (so good, we bought extra ones to take back to the hotel). Thank you for a great time. Raheem. You're very good at what you do. One last thing, can you please say hi to the wonderful staff at the Monte's restaurant (Guido, Thomas and the chef Pietro) for a memorable meal and a great evening on Saturday night! |

My husband and I decided to take the tour as part of an anniversay weekend in the city. Our tour guide, Diana, was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited and we tried lots of good food. We couldn't wait to go back to many of the stores after the tour to buy some of the foods we had tasted. I learned a lot about parts of Greenwich Village and SoHo and loved trying several ethnic foods that I had never had before. The tour was great. |

My adult daughter and I decided to take this tour because she is a culinary craftsman and enjoys all sorts of different foods. I was so pleased we had done this tour. Our tour guide was quite knowledgeable and patient and managed to keep everyone interested for the 2+ hours of our adventure through the streets of SOHO and the Village. She spoke well and shared so many interesting history tidbits and local flavor facts/legends which simply added to the entire experience. I even got to try foods I would never have tried on my own and I discovered that I enjoyed that whole "going out of the box with foods" thing. My daughter and I both were quite pleased and felt we certainly got our money's worth. |

What a great experience my husband and I had on this tour! Everything about it was enjoyable. We learned so much, ate a perfect amount, and walked a great deal. Keep in mind that all the food is eaten while standing, so don't expect a steak dinner or a buffet line. Plus, not every place you go into will be a "food" stop -sometimes it's just good enough to smell the scents or see the inside to plan future visits. Just when we thought the tour was coming to an end, more food came our way. We learned lots of history about the area and our guide was so pleasant. We would recommend this tour to anyone that doesn't mind eating on the run, is okay with walking, and likes to try new things! |

A great way to see the area, try the food, learn some history, including some social history, of a great part of NYC. The tour guide was enthusiastic and energetic. |

This was my first trip to New York and only had 3 weeks to plan for it. I debated for quite a while on wether to take one of the food tours and which one would be best for me. I thought none stood out as a sure pick for me personally but the variety of food offered on this tour was what interested me the most. I went on one of the last days of my 7 day trip to New York. For the majority of the time there my husband was working and I was seeing the sights. I wished now I had taken this tour at the beginning of my trip so I could have gone back with him more than just one night. I also would have signed up for at least one more tour if I had known beforehand how much I would enjoy it. Then I could have shown HIM around for once.
Our guide, Rahim was AMAZING. I could not believe the knowledge he possessed. He was versed in literature, music, culture, history, and of course culinary arts. I was astounded by how much he knew and shared with us. So many tours are either not informational enough or seem a bit canned. He was relaxed and personal with all of us. I was also a bit nervous about going by myself on the tour realizing that most people would be groups or couples and I wasn't sure of the age of most tourists. I was pleased to have a broad range of ages participating. I also met two sisters who were visiting the city together and we enjoyed one another's company during the tour.
I loved the tour and can't wait to go back and see the others! |

We found the tour to be well worth our time and money. We enjoyed the food and liked that we went to places we would not normally have frequented. However, we found the history of the area to be as enjoyable (if not more) than the food sampling. My companion had lived in NY for several years and he learned things he had never heard before. Our guide was very knowledgeable and kept the tour very light and entertaining.
Will definitely consider attending another tour in future trips to NY. Was one of the highlights of our trip. |
