This tour was completely amazing, not only did we get to experience a very diverse menu we also learned about the history and architecture of the area. Our tour guide Raheem was quite knowledgeable. He really knows his history, everything came from memory. He had no prompts. I totally recommend this tour and am looking forward to trying the others out.

I thought that this tour was excellent! All of the food was delicious and there was enough for lunch. It was really nice to hear the history of this area of Manhattan. I would recommend this to anyone, even picky eaters.

We had a group of 4 adults and 2 children (ages 7 & 11). We booked the tour to become more acquianted with Soho & Greenwich Village. We enjoyed tasting different cuisine and listening to the tour guide's antedoctes of the area. However, we regretted that the kids were exposed to some things they shouldn't have heard or seen. This tour might be better suited for adults only.

I cannot put into words how wonderful all of these Foods of New York tours are! We did the Original Greenwich Village tour a few years ago and followed it up with the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking tour last year. Both were amazing! We did the Central Village/SoHo tour this time and could not have been more pleased! While we still go back to old favs like Joe's Pizza, Rocco's, Milk and Cookies and Faicco's, we added some new stops from this tour to our growing list of "must eats" in the Village - Cuba (we went back for lunch the next day), Bella Vitae, Monte's and Aamchi Pao (fka Indian Bread Co) to name a few! If we lived in NYC, we would be in Raffetos, Joe's Dairy and Pino's on a weekly basis! Thanks again for a fabulous time! I have recommended these tours to anyone I know that is going to NYC!

I've taken other food tours and loved them. I wasn't as impressed with this one. There was less food tasting on this tour and a lot more history and walking to places that were not food orientated. I did leave with a good understanding of the area.

We had done an similar tour in Chicago so we knew what to expect and had something to compare with. The Central Village/Soho tour had wonderful food, and a great guide, and we enjoyed everything that we ate and all the local information. We come to New York every couple of years, so we look forward to taking another tour the next time we're in town.

This is my second time on this tour and it was even better then the first! This time I brought friends from out of state and although one of them couldn't eat some of the items she still enjoyed the tour! We actually ended the day with her visiting a pizza place on the other tour for a slice! (For her, the rest of us were full)

As with the other tours this one was excellant. Barri did a great job giving us a true taste of ethnic NYC. The weather was cold but we barely felt it with all the activity. Lots of places I would definitely go back to. If you are looking to make improvements though I would find just a few more places to 'sit'. 2 hours into the tour I found myself searching for a second wind. (Of course I found it at the next tasting :) ).

| This tour was exactly what we wanted. We had a chance to sample street food in the coolest part of town and the historical commentary on the area put everything into context. The food choices were brave and they didn't try to "dumb down" the experience for masses, which I really appreciated. I will never forget Frank at Joe's Dairy or the lovely mushroom pasta we were surprised with at that Italian grocery store I can't remember the name of.
Susan (our guide) was great. She was energetic and informative and best of all, she was a foodie!
Good job, guys! The tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to New York and we'll definitely be back for another tour with you when we come back. |

Loved visiting an area we were familiar with in name only. Great food and cultural details.
