The food was great- there was more than enough to fill us up and it was varied. This history of the area was fun and entertaining, and I liked all of the suggestions for future things to do. Barri was a great tour guide.

My favorite part of visiting NYC

This is the 2nd Foods of NY tour I have been on. They have become the one thing I must do when I visit NY to see my dtr. Even better than seeing a Broadway Play although I always do that as well. It brings the big city down to a manageable size. Love the history and of course the food. Frequently return to places we were introduced to on the tour. My dtr who lives in NYC also found it great and wants to go back to many of the places where we did tastings. The guides are very personable and knowledgeable both about the food and the history of the neighborhoods. Loved it and plan to go on another tour next time I am in town.

Great tour, but please don't bring children

We had a great time on this tour. Our guide was excellent . Our only negative comment is that children should not be allowed to attend. We had a couple that had an 11 month old along, and this was quite disturbing. As we were seated in the Cuba restaurant, this baby had a smelly soiled diaper. My son was seated next to the mother, and the smell was terrible, not what you want during food tastings

Three hours of thorough enjoyment. From the moment I met our guide, I knew we'd enjoy every minute of our tour. I liked Susan instantly. She was warm, comfortable, knowledgeable, articulate and a friend for three hours imparting all kinds of knowledge from historical, to cultural, to gastronomical. The tastings were substantial and delicious. I've done many food tours and this may have been my favorite although I've thoroughly enjoyed all.

This was my second food tour. The first one was the Greenwich Village tour. I liked this one better, but both were really good. I especially enjoyed the history discussion in conjunction with the food explanations. The only negative feedback that I have is that we were told we would be tasting at 7 out of the 10 stops. We actually only tasted at 6.

I really enjoyed the tour. The guide was wonderful and did such a great job. Lots of food and the pace was excellent. I will do another tour when we come back to New York next year. So much great information and history along with great food. It was totally yummy!!!

All the middle-aged teachers from New Jersey who attended the tour were quite impressed with the discovery of so many delightful, reasonably-priced, delicious restaurants in the Village. Susan, our guide filled us in on the history - the counter-culture that began and still continues here, the lovely, quiet hidden streets like Minetta, and the center of the area-Washington Park. It is a tour you can take more than once. Thanks to Susan!

I heard of taking a food walking tour by word of mouth so went on line to find out more. My friend, her daughter and my daughter all enjoyed the food sampled and we enjoyed the historical and architectural information Diana provided along with the information about the shops and food. All in our group wished we had done the tour earlier in our trip so we could have made plans to come back to The Village to shop and eat some more! We will definitely recommend it to any friends planning a trip to NYC!
