Sample tasty treats from ethnic, old-school eateries in two distinct areas - one colorful and exciting, the other surprisingly quaint.

This is our third time with Food Tours of New York and this was the best. Raheem was outstanding and the food was to die for. If you take the tour, don't make evening dinner plans because you'll want to return to one of the places on the tour. The best!

This was my 4th trip to NYC but my parents first. I recommended the food tour on our first day in the city so they could get an idea of the area, food, sights and history. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Raheem, was wonderful. He had great stories to share and was full of great information. I recommend this tour to 1st timers in the city as well as repeat vistors.

My wife and I enjoyed very much the different tastings - and espicially the interesting cultural information about the district. Actually we returned three times to the restaurants visited at the tour (twice at the same restaurant).

NYC food tours are the best!

I have traveled quite a bit (road trip honeymoon for a month!) and have been on 6 other food tours around the country. This is my seventh and I have to say the ones in NYC are the best (no offense San Francisco!). I would have to say that the China Town is my favorite (I worked at a Chinese Restaurant for 3 years so I'm a little partial) but the "Original Tour" is very good and the one I just went on, the Central Village/ SoHo tour was number 3 out of all for me! It had a great variety of food and wasn't too much of a difficult walk. The history of the restaurants was very informative and I think for the typical person the amount of history was just right. I am a bit of a history buff so I love history just as much as I like the food. Our guide was very good, knowledgeable, and is a local which helps in my opinion. She gave the tour a bit more depth because she is also part of the tour of NYC having grown up in the city. The worst thing is having a guide that just moved to the city and is just spitting out random facts. I will have to say you should splurge on the Sangria at the Cuban restaurant, it is amazing! I hope anyone reading this takes my advice and does as many of the Foods of NYC tours as possible. I am already trying to figure out when I'm going to do the Chelsea Market/ Meatpacking tour! You'll have a great time!

A fantastic way to spend a Saturday in New York

We were 3 cousins traveling together for a weekend adventure in New York to celebrate a High School gradution. The Soho/Central Village food tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Diana was just great as our tour director, very knowledgeable of the area and the restaurants where we were sampling the food choices. We had an absolute beautiful day and the food was amazing and we enjoyed every stop along our walk. The variety of the food was perfect and left us full enough that we passed on dinner that night. I will and have highly recommended this walking tour to anyone who will be traveling to New York and wants an unexpected treat! We cannot wait to travel back to New York and try another one of the Food tours!

This was my second Food Tour with this company. I loved it and plan to do another one on my next trip. The tour guide was knowledgeable and of course the food was amazing. Loved every minute of it. I feel like I know more about New York than a New Yorker.

We really enjoyed the tour. Lots of great food, went to interesting restaurants and learned a lot about the area and its history. Excellent tour guide as well - he was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Our group is already talking about when we could do another tour.
