| Good variety of food. Great restaurants - we plan on going back to most of them. What was fantastic is hearing the owners/chefs of restaurant and speak and answering questions. More than enough food provided on the tour - but it was all wonderful. There were vegetarians in our group that were really well catered for - all places provided equal (or better!) alternatives - even at the butcher. It was great having the break in the middle with lots of walking. Wonderful history of the area - and the added movie and television references just added to the tour. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. The tour also oriented us in a very unfamiliar area. The bakery was a wonderful way to end the tour(probably the best stop!) - we remained behind for coffee. Highly recommended - a must if visiting New York. |

| Our tour guide Susan was very informative and knowlegable. The best stop was the first one and that was the Indian restaurant. I will definitely be back to Aamchi Pao. Do not eat anything before the tour because you get a lot of food. |

| The food tour of Greenwich and Soho was a fulfilling experience. The tour guide sure knew her stuff. She laid out all of the local history and flavour of the neighbourhoods as well as having an in depth knowledge of how the food was prepared. The places chosen to eat were carefully selected to ensure a broad range of experience and the restaurants were generous in thier portions. No need to order lunch on this tour. This is a great way to sample some of the more interesting restaurants in NYC that we pass by and wonder what they would be like inside. We liked one so much we went back in the evening and had the best time at a restaurant that we have had in a long time. My 26 year old daugther went with us and felt the same way. They even included places that just do deserts, meats and cheeses, which were fascinating. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in food, history, people and life. You won't be disapointed. |

| Whilst the food that we tasted on this tour was very good, I particularly enjoyed learning about the history and culture of the area as we walked its streets. We did the tour early in our time in New York and I feel that this understanding enriched our stay. Our guide was knowledgeable and approachable and the pace seemed to suit the group very well. There was a good variety of cuisine styles offered as we walked and although quantities were small to moderate at each venue, no-one in our group of friends needed dinner that night! |

| As a first time visitor to New York we were glad that a friend had recommended these food and culture tours. We did book online before our trip and would recommend doing so as we just managed to secure the last 4 places. We chose the Greenwich Village area as we were very much into Bob Dylan who lived there during our early teen years in the sixties. The food samples in various cuisines were all delicious and we did make a reservation for an evening meal at one of the Italian restaurants albeit we were staying in a hotel off Times Square. The tour also included visiting the Cafe Wha nightclub, it was a surreal moment for us as it appeared that nothing had changed there since the sixties. We also visited the club on the evening after dining at the restaurant nearby. We thought the resident band on the Sunday evening were brilliant and it was such a good atmosphere. |

| I have been to NY two years in a row and both times I started my trip off with a Foods of NY tour (last year Greenwich Village and this year Central Village & SOHO). I firmly believe that these tours set the most perfect atmosphere for your trip. I came away from the tour with getting a really good "feel" of the area that we visited... seeing clubs that influential musicians began in... seeing where multi-generational businesses have been making food for years... tasting food that is just awesome... and being taken care of... I just cannot explain it... I want to move to Greenwich Village after these tours and eat in these restaurants and go to these clubs - have them become a part of my life.
Rahim was our tour guide on this trip and he was fantastic. His knowledge of music, history, food and the neighbourhood was exceptional!
Thank you for providing this tour. I loved it. |

| This is a must to do if you are in New York. Lots of "local" information and great food. Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining, lots of fun. It gives you a good feel for NY community in the 'burbs'. |

| This was a great way to get to know the neighourhood and get tips on places to eat. We ended up going back to one of the restaurants on our tour for dinner the next day and were not disappointed.
We were surprised how generous the food portions were. Definitely go on this tour hungry. The food was terrific and the restaurant owners/staff were friendly and welcoming.
We're looking forward to booking another tour the next time we come to New York. Thanks for a great experience. |

| Susan was a wonderful guide, such a pleasure to be around and very eager to help.
Food was excellent- perhaps better if it had been done in order (put all the dessert at the end). Plenty of food, good food, except the pasta- very average. Everything else was outstanding expecially indian, ricotta cheesecake etc.
Good venue, great architectural history and loved all the inside info |

| I recently did the Greenwich/SoHo tour led by Susan. She was terrific! A native New Yorker, she is passionate about her city and its many fabulous foodie finds. She did a great job describing in fascinating detail the history and present state of the Village food scene. The restaurants and cafes on the itinerary were all superb - it was nearly overwhelming. The food was delicious and each place was thoughtfully chosen for its historical and cultural significance to the neighborhood.
Susan was also great at ensuring that everyone's needs were met throughout the tour and that we were enjoying ourselves. Overall, she was a great group facilitator and tour guide.
At the conclusion of the tour I felt like I had gained such an inside perspective into the Village far beyond just the food scene. It was hard to believe that I saw and learned so much in only three hours. I felt like a local by the end of it. This was an amazing way to become closely familiar with one of NYC's incredible neighborhoods. I will definitely check out a different tour on my next trip. Keep up the super work! |
