My husband and I are not "tour" people by nature. When we choose a tour, we like smaller groups and something a little different. We had never done a food tour before and thought it might be something we would enjoy -- and we did. We did the Central Village/SOHO tour. Food wise, there was a little something for everyone one the tour. All the food we had you could eat "on-the-go" and was small portions. Even with the small portions, though, we were comfortably full by the end. And along the way you would stop and learn some interesting facts about that area of the city. Our guide was a lot of fun. It is a walking tour, and there aren't a lot of opportunities to sit, so be prepared. There are bathroom breaks and they give you bottled water to take with you. They try and accomodate food allergies. My husband can't eat eggs - so the dish that normally had eggs was prepared for him without them. At the end they provide a guide of all the places to eat on their tours - including ones not part of the tasting itself. We were only sorry we were leaving that night and couldn't go back to try something else. But we'll keep the list because we know we'll be going back soon. We'll probably also do another one of their tours.

We enjoied this tour so much we went back to two of the dinning places for dinner the next night. It is nice to get a taste of food before spending a lot of money on a dinner that might be good. Our expectation was good food , which turned out to be great food. The added bonus was the wonderful history lesson we got along as well. The best way to learn about NYC.

Great experience! Enthusiastic tour guide with plenty of stories about Greenwich and SoHo. Even though I have lived in the area for the past year, I learnt (and tasted!) many new things and will definitely be returning to some of the restaurants and eateries visited.

Everything was so well organized. Our guide knew the area and food stops in depth. I can't decide which tour to take the next time I visit NYC.

In addition to making me a completely happy foodie, this tour was entertaining and educational about history, art and the area's local culture.

Our guide, Raheem (sp?) was articulate, knowledgeable and passionate about the foods, business owners, and stories behind the sites we visited. Very interesting, and generous sampling of a number of foods. Ample opportunites to sit, and visit rest rooms; very comfortable 3 hours. Would recommend this to anyone!

This is our second food tour experience. Although we enjoyed the food on the traditional Greenwich Village tour more, this was also very informative and fun. The tour guide was a wealth of knowledge. It's a great way to learn more about the village while experiencing the diverse food culture.

This is my 3rd food tour in NY. As before, it was wonderful! The guide, Rahem, was very knowledgeable and likeable. We had ample samplings and a good variety of foods. The guide always gives a lot of history of the locale and details about the architecture. Each participant is given a booklet/handout detailing the stores and restaurants included in the tour so you can return there easily if you so desire. I have enjoyed them so much that when I complete all that are offered, I will probably repeat them. Loads of fun too.
