Sample tasty treats from ethnic, old-school eateries in two distinct areas - one colorful and exciting, the other surprisingly quaint.

BEST EXPERIENCE IN NEW YORK!

This by far was one of the highlights of my trip to New York! Our guide was knowledgeable, funny, kind and kept us moving at a good pace. She let us wander just a bit - but was able to get us to all of the places we were scheduled to go. Every tasting and stopping point had something special about it - from the beginning point, to the park, to each cafe, restaurant and quick stop. I loved the tastings on the streets. I was worried about too much sitting - but it was just right. LOVED IT! I will be back and plan to bring many more with me. RBBTS shake was AWESOME!

We took the Central Village/SoHo tour with Susan, who was a fantastic guide. Clearly passionate about preserving the culture and history of the neighborhood, she took us to some great old school restaurants, coffee houses, and neighborhood landmarks. Also introduced us to some of the newer, more modern eateries as well. The tour was perfectly paced, and the food was incredible. My favorites were Cuba, Masala Times, and the Purple Haze from Rabbits Cafe. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the neighborhood and insightful about what we were tasting. Discovered some very cool spots we may not have found on our own!

This food tour was awesome!! Our guide, Rajim, was friendly and very knowledgeable. He did a great job of introducing us to all of the great restaurants and foods, and in explaining to us the history of the area. He really knew his stuff and made the tour a really enjoyable experience. The food was amazing and the portions were very generous. We were not sure how much of a sample we would be receiving, but we were definitely more than full by the end of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour with Rajim to my friends and family and look forward to trying the other tours offered.

Greenwich/SoHo Food & Cultural Tour - WOW

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the food/cultural tour!! Susan was an informative and humorous guide. She made walking around in the heat of mid-summer a treat - she kept us focused, on track and in anticpation of each historical tidbit and restaurant. We have a new appreciation of Greenwich Village and wouldn't hesitate to take the tour again. The samplings were diverse and very filling. And the food - all I need to say is YUMMY, YUMMY!!!

Susan took us on a lovely historical and culinary tour of Greenwich Village. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and the 3 hours seemed to go by very quickly. The foods ranged from ethnic street type to Italian, Cuban and fresh fruit drinks with a few more in the mix. Such a great sampling of the vitality of this neighborhood. We loved it.

Excellent second time out with Food Tours

This was our second tour. We did the Greenwich Village tour last summer. Enjoyed this tour even more than the first. Quantity and variety of food was good and interesting. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We took the tour with an adult son and I probably would not recommend for small children. Other than that, a fine way to see the village.

WOW! This is worth doing. My wife and I had our 11 year old daughter with us, and we enjoyed every minute of this tour. We were running late, and the owner waited for us and took us to meet the group. Susan, our guide, was so sweet and saved us some food from the first two stops that we missed. This was a great way to see the neighborhoods of New York and to learn about the culture, history and geography of this area, all the while munching on tasty morsels from great places to eat. I plan to return and search out these places, as they are THAT good. We ate empanadas from a Cuban restaurant, pasta bolognese from a traditional Italian restaurant, a chocolate pear tart from a bakery, wonderful treats from an Indian restaurant.... Fresh mozarella from a dairy.... Ahhh, such memories are even still leaving me smiling! This tour even included a lovely stroll through George Washington Park. Do yourself a favor. TAKE THIS TOUR!!!

Definitely the highlight of our NYC trip

As if the food wasn't wonderful enough, the guide reveled us with historical and social details as we made our way through the area: Bob Dylan's former house, the denizens of Washington Square Park, the prices of townhouses on the market, the private Italian club with a shooting range in the basement. We had a wonderful time and the food (and mojito) was fabulous!
