We have now taken three Foods of New York Food Tours, the most recent being the
Central Village/SOHO Food and Culture Tour. All have been outstanding, but this
may have been the best of the three. The food samples were very good and ample,
and the commentary from our guide (Berrie) was excellent. Highly recommended. |

We had high expectations after reading all the raving reviews and recommendations from our friends who had already experienced this tour. The tastings were delicious, and we can't wait to go back to eat there again. The tour guide was quite knowledgeable and informative, however we felt she was not very personable. |

The tour was not only culinary and cultural, but architecturally enlightening as well. Our guide (Rahim) was knowledgeable, affable, and entertaining. The tastings were well chosen and delicious--things we may not have ever had a chance, or an inclination, to try. The pace was comfortable but not dawdling, and the entire experience, especially the small group, was a pleasure. We went back to the Village a couple of nights later and ate at one of the featured restaurants--what a treat! My wife and I (60-ish) and our daughter (29) thoroughly enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. For us, it's a "don't miss" on a trip to New York. |

I took the tour with my husband and 17 yr old daughter. It was a great opportunity to learn about an area of NY that I probably would not have visited in depth. Our guide, Raheem, was full of great information - history, culture and especially food. He has a passion about the area and food that came across in our tour. We had a small group of 9. The food was incredible. We visited places that we would never have sampled on our own and learned a lot about different ethnic foods. I highly recommend this tour. It was one of the highlights of our four day birthday trip for my daughter. Can't wait to come back and try one of the other tours.
I recommend taking notes. You are provided with a list of all the restaurants you visit and many that you don't. I would never remember all the details. Wear comfortable shoes...three hours is a little long but it would not keep me from doing it again. We definitely will visit these places again and again...Great job!!! |

Our leader was very knowledgeable and provided more information than I expected. The food was all very good, and we were full at the end of the tour. A friend recommended this tour to us, and it was one of the things we liked best about our trip to New York. We will recommend to others. |

This was a great tour, my husband and I learned so much about the area. We would never have gone here on our own. We went to Monte's restaurant the next day for supper and it was absoulutely fantastic!!!! We recommend it highly and another bonus, it was moderately priced. |

This was my third Foods of NY tour and just like the other two, it did not disappoint. My fellow group members all enjoyed themselves and we all learned so much about these unique neighborhoods. The tastings were great and introduced us to types of food we probably would never have tried on our own but will now definetly seek out in the future. Such interesting tidbits of history and humor thrown in made the tour that much better. Our guide was so knowledgable, personable, and enthusiastic. You could tell he just loves his job and loves NYC! |

It was an extensive sales talk of neighborhood restaurants with street food sorts of samples.. The guide was energetic and made an effort to conceal the sales pitch nature of the event. |

My husband and I are not "tour" people by nature. When we choose a tour, we like smaller groups and something a little different. We had never done a food tour before and thought it might be something we would enjoy -- and we did. We did the Central Village/SOHO tour. Food wise, there was a little something for everyone one the tour. All the food we had you could eat "on-the-go" and was small portions. Even with the small portions, though, we were comfortably full by the end. And along the way you would stop and learn some interesting facts about that area of the city. Our guide was a lot of fun. It is a walking tour, and there aren't a lot of opportunities to sit, so be prepared. There are bathroom breaks and they give you bottled water to take with you. They try and accomodate food allergies. My husband can't eat eggs - so the dish that normally had eggs was prepared for him without them. At the end they provide a guide of all the places to eat on their tours - including ones not part of the tasting itself. We were only sorry we were leaving that night and couldn't go back to try something else. But we'll keep the list because we know we'll be going back soon. We'll probably also do another one of their tours. |

this was our 3rd tour with Zerve - we did Chelsea's Market in 2005; Greenwich Village in 2006 and Greenwich/Soho this year (2007).
Your tours are GREAT! very informative and the food is delicious and of a great variety. We learned a lot and now will be able to visit these areas on our own and know where to visit.
what will we do next year - you've got to come up with something new.
