Delightful experience

Our guide was excelent! She gave us not only a guided tour, but she also shared her own knowledge and enthusiasm. We will always do some thign sismilar when visiting New york in the future. It would have been nice with some winetasting as well, but this was great. The mozzarella stop was the most memorable, and it was great to be able to talk to one of the mozzaeralla makers (an older man taking a break from work). Thank you !

The tour guide did an excellent job providing information on the food we were sampling and culture of the area. The food was all very good. My favorite was the smoked mozarella cheese, sun dried tomatos and sausage. When we started our tour it was raining very hard, which put a bit of a damper on things, but by the end of the day the weather was lovely. One of the parties in our group came almost a half hour late and the tour guide accomodated them and took the whole group back to the first restaurant, this resulted in the whole tour running over the time limit.

This was my second Food Tour, the first being a tour of the West Village. Comparing the two, I would say that this tour was more about the food and less of the history of the area. There was plenty of information but the West Village tour was crammed with detail. Having said that, however, our tour guide, Susan, was fantastic. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very "New York." We loved her. We got a good overview of the "Beat" generation; the wealthy merchants who migrated uptown around Washington Square Park to get away from the crowds and docks of Battery Park; and the story of tenament housing built by immigrants for immigrants. The food was a surprise with the very generous samplings of Turkish gyros, pasta at Monte's ( we are going back this Saturday for dinner), servings of beef and chicken empanadas with mojitos ( drinks add'l charge) @ Cuba, smoked mozzarella, and the most delicious chocolate pear tart from Once Upon a Tart. And, after alll that, there were even more samplings. By the end of the tour we were all stuffed, and tried, unsuccessfully, to convince ourselves that we had worked off all the calories during our walk. Highly recommend these tours to both tourists and locals. To Sue, thanks for a lovely day!

we had a group of 4--two cooks and two non cookers--we ALL enjoyed the tour very much!! It was a way to try different foods that we would not have tried!! We ALL enjoyed the tour very much. Matter of fact we came back to the SOHO village and spent another afternnoon there! Thanks for a fun afternoon.

I suppose there's worse ways to spend a few hours, but this was advertised as a food tour so I reasonably was thinking the emphasis would be on food. It was more of a neighborhood tour, with a lot of not terribly interesting facts and stories about the west village. Along the way we stopped by several restaurants, but only in two were we able to actually sit down, the rest had us herded into tiny places or worse yet left to eat on the street, constantly trying not to block pedestrians while we ate the samples of food. The whole thing was a bit uncouth. The food itself was OK, nothing really stood out except the dessert tarts. The tour guide was fine, it wasn't boring because of him, it was more the material. Again maybe if you're visiting NY you would enjoy this, but I found the whole thing to be rather a yawn, and an expensive one at that.

This is our 4th tour with you. (We repeated the Greenwich Village tour a second time with friends.) As usual, it was fun and factual. I will keep watching to see if you expand into other areas of NY!

I have taken your other tours many times, but this was a first for the Central Village and Soho tour. Lots of great foods to sample--many that I would have never tried on my own. Our guide was very knowledgable and kept all of us together quite efficiently. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who likes to explore the foods and history of this area. Thanks for the great list of restaurants and stores. Sometime I hope you develop a Soho-only tour in more depth. Returning Seattle-ite.

This was the second food tour that I have done with this company and we were not disappointed. It was absolutely wonderful - our guide was fantastic and the food was incredible. I would totally do another one of these tours again.
