| Central Village/SoHo tour was great in its own right, and I would have rated it as "Enthusiastically Recommended" had I not been on the original Greenwich Village food tour given by Foods of New York.
The Greenwich Village tour seemed to focus on how to enjoy the Village as a tourist, keying in on restaurants and bars that one could enjoy. The mix of tastings and culture notes was perfect.
The Central Village tour seemed to focus more on venues to enjoy if you lived in the area. The fresh pasta shop, the bakery, and the fresh mozzerella shop were fantastic tasting stops, but as a tourist, they did not prove as useful to me as the venues highlighted on the Greenwich Village tour. The culture notes on the Central Village tour, though very interesting, were not balanced with the tastings. The time spent in Washington Square Park seemed very long and made the tour feel a bit disjointed.
All these points must be balanced by the fact that I went on this new tour when it was in its very early days--the tour guides indicated at the outset that they were still working the 'kinks' out of the programme.
I can't stress enough that despite my recomendations for improvement, I still found this tour to be excellent, and will recommend it to friends and family, as I have already done in respect of the Greenwich Village tour. I look forward to doing the Meatpacking District tour on my next visit to NYC! |

| The tour was a great way to introduce visitors to an area of NYC not listed in the usual tour guides. After doing this tour, we returned to the Central Village region twice during our stay in NYC. For anyone considering this tour, do it early during your stay in NYC because you'll want to return before you leave. We had a fantastic day. Thank you Bari..... and the squirrels! |

| This tour is not just for people who love their food from all over the world, though it does make it easier to find restaurants you might want to come back to later. The snacks are not too big and you get enough time to recover walking it off in between. Anyone with an open mind and interest in the area will love what they hear from the well-prepared guide(s). It was obvious that these two -- we took the tour in its try-out phase -- knew much more than they were telling us; and they told us a whole lot!
If you have any specific questions, you can feel free to ask them; these people know their stuff!
Concluding, this is a tremendously interesting tour and a great way to find out lots of things about the village; its little traditional shops, bars and restaurants and its interesting histrory.

| My husband and I were told by a friend to try a food tour on our day trip to NYC. Every time we have been to the city before, we just shopped and hung out. We just cannot stop talking about our experience on this tour and our tour guide, Susan, is absolutely wonderful. She told us so much interesting history about Central Village/SOHO. The food was outstanding and we were very impressed with everything. We cannot wait to come back again and try another area food tour! We just hope that all of your tour guides are as great as Susan. Thanks for a great 3 hours! |

| We absolutely loved our tourguide, Susan, and the SOHO food tour. It really oriented us to the city for our first day here, plus gave us a taste of what we could be eating and the best of what there was out there. Our guide was kind, warm, educated and fun--it was a great time. I'm not a fan of tours, but this was the best of all worlds and I wish I could do all of them! |

| Our Tour leader was Diana and she was great. She had so much knowledge of the area and really enjoyed sharing it. The food was incredible. I hope all the restraunts know how much we appreciated them! I learned not only about the food and the people who prepared it but also about architecture, chess hustlers, pop culture stars, and so much more. It's just a great way to get to know the city and learn more about my favorite thing, food! I'm very anxious to come back for another tour. I would love to have Diana again, she was so good at what she does, Thanks so much |

| My friend and I were very impressed by the quality of this tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and presented the tour in an easy-going style. The food choices were also excellent - don't eat beforehand as this is definitely enough food for lunch and plenty to get you through to a later dinner (I would not recommend an early dinner reservation as this tour ends mid afternoon). In fact, consider trying to book one of the restaurants that are visited - we wish we had.
Highly recommended!!! |

| I enjoyed this tour with a small group of friends on a weekend trip...I can't think of a better way to spend several hours. The tour was informally informative, flexible with the needs of the group, and quite delicious. I enjoyed the diversity of the restaurants visited, and loved all the food. Came away quite full! Loved the guide too. A perfect day. |

| This was the second NYC food tour we've taken. The guide, locale and food were great. A NYC history lesson with frequent stops for gormet food samples along the way. We'll be taking another tour on our next visit. |
